How do I split the Eqyptian Walking Onion
« on: Jul 23, 2007, 07:23:56 AM »
Just call me chicken.  I really want to split this apart and try some of the bulb.  But I don't want to kill the plant.  Can someone give me step by step directions please?

Well I dug it up and took two of the pieces off of it.  And then replanted the rest of it.  I hope it survives.  Now I'm thinking I should have split the rest of it apart and replanted each piece separately.  I watered it good after I replanted it.  I've got my fingers crossed.

I wish I had some advice for you, Duh, but know nothing about it. I am sure someone will pop in soon, though, that does...

Thanks Dianna for the moral support.  I hope it survives but if it doesn't I'll just have to hope for better luck with the three remaining bulbets I have.
