Those are cute, Wrennie. I use cheapo potholders 'cause I always mess them up. I like to toss them and change often. I've got some nice ones tucked away somewhere............

That is sooo exciting Rita.  Cannot wait to see yours.  I really need to load my pics of the one I am working on.  It is jean and flanel also.

Were you looking for the stuff to match the scarf you have been working on?  I will be yarn hunting tomorrow so send me the name and color and I will see if I can find some for you.

Oh that would be great. It is Bernat Galaxy, color Mars. I was thinking of doing the 2 ends in swatches of whatever planet the black version is. I'll have to look it up.

Its Mercury. I think it would look good with that on either end.

Oh I am sure it will not be that much.  I will stick it in a baggie and get all the air out and pop it in a bubble mailer.  Hopefully I can find you some, would you prefer the red if they have that or the black?

hmmmm I wonder if a different dye lot will be noticeably different from what I have...... i think maybe the black is better. but if theres no black......whatever else you think would go good with the red. just not green. too christmassy.

WOW Rita, that is so cool.  You need to upload a pic of all your pieces and then as you go along.

Here is my project.

The materials, a piece of light flannel and a bunch of mixed up squares and rectangles of jeans.

I laid all of the jean pieces over the flannel and pinned them down.

Then I cut all of the pieces and pinned them together in the pattern.

This is it all tacked together.  I still need to go back and stitch it and then cut the material so I can wash it for the finished look.

That is interesting, Triss. A lot of work by hand. I know which side if the blanket I want against me when I'm snuggling.

Not the pins.  My poor fingers are all full of holes.  I think I am gonna get my machine fixed up and out of storage to do the rest.

Is Dan any good at that type of thing? I can fix some of my problems with my machines but sometimes they need an expert.

I think I can fix what is wrong, it is just that the thread holder on top broke off.  It screws in and out but I need a new part and have to find where I can get that.  I want to take it to a shop though for a general cleaning and once over since it has not been used in a few years and has been gathering dust in one garage or another.
