is covered with flies.  Does anyone know why?  It's gross.

That does sound bad, are there any parts of it that are dying?

are they regular house flies? because Sedum attracts several varieties of flies, hover flies and bee's to their pollen laden flowers, but rarely the common house fly.

I havent noticed any flies on my sedum. what type of sedum is it Sherri? Is it growing near something else that might be attracting them.

Same here, i have one out front and havent noticed any flies either?

Just regular black flies.  It doesn't seem to be bother them.  They're alive and well even without water.  This is the first time they'e had flies.  I don't know what kind it is.  It's just nasty looking.  Can I post a picture here?
