Fresh one open. Cloudy, 57, light breeze at times.
-
Light rain, 39, easterly wind up to 10 mph.
-
Still warm & muggy here.
-
This week is supposed to be the last week of hot weather for us. I guess we will see. I'm ready for the grass to stop growing. I mowed again this weekend. It had been 2 weeks so it is slowing down. We've been really dry too so that keeps it from growing as well.
-
Clear, 35, calm.
-
No snow yet William? Looks like you were getting the cold and we were still in the triple digits. The weather this year has been strange to say the least.
-
Early Fall this year, no snow yet, first bout of cooler weather, they said was the weekend only thing.
Will be sunny soon, 36, light (up to 4 mph) breeze at times.
-
Sunny, 53, breeze (up to 5 mph) at times.
I generally go by the National Weather Service Forecast for Western Columbia River Gorge (https://www.wsdot.com/traffic/forecast/Default.aspx?zone=WA045) for our weather.
The image shown is not close to me.
-
Still hot here but we did get a rain shower this afternoon.. The first in over tow weeks. Gonna be hot/dry for rest of week. Then hopefully somewhat of a cool down (into 80s) and chances of rain.
-
Sunny, 42, light breeze at times.
-
Loving this cooler weather. On Saturday it will be 2 weeks since I mowed. I think the cooler weather has got the grass growing a bit slower. Of course we haven't had much rain either so that may be contributing. I'll mow it on Saturday and that might be the last time this season.
-
We've been in the 60s in the mornings, even down to 63 this morning, but still into the upper 80s low 90s by the afternoon. Still the mornings are nice.
-
We finally got a little rain last night. Supposed to get some more tonight and into tomorrow. They are saying we could get an inch or more. That will be fine. It's really dry which is unusual for us this time of year.
It has been a bit cooler with the highs in the mid 80s. Big cool down coming this week as we are forecast to get some really cool nights.
-
Sounds likd us only our rain started this evening. Will go into tomorrow & Wednesday. Even so, we've only gotten a 1/4 in. of rain. We have rain but it's light rain. We'll take all we can get. It's the first real rain we've had in almost a month.
-
Yeah, no more rain yet. I think it is supposed to move in here tonight. They are forecasting rain most of the day tonmorrow. I hope it's a slow steady rain instead of those fast downpours where you get about an inch an hour. We'll take it no matter how it comes I guess.
-
Been raining most of the day here. The slow steady kind. A few 'storms' mixed in with heavier rain, but not on top of me. Supposed to be more of the same tomorrow, but not all day. Still not enough to kill the drought we're in.
-
We've got about .5". It was the slow and steady kind. Lots of clouds hanging around but the sun is out now and it's drying up. We are supposed to get some more after the weekend.
-
Rainy (about 1/4 in in some places) and cooling down. Lower 80s today. Tomorrow supposed to be mid 70s and sunny, but Fri/Sat the rain returns big time. We have a tropical disturbance we're watching. Whatever it turns out to be, it will dump lots of rain on us.
-
We are supposed to get up to 3 inches from the same system Barb. Supposed to get here about noon Saturday and last till Sunday morning. We need the rain but that's quite a bit in a short amount of time. No complaints though.
-
3 inches ain't nothing here. Won't even bust our drought. It's been raining off and on since around 3:00 and still only 3/4 of an inch. The worst of it is supposed to come through after midnight. It's going in to the east of us so we will not get a lot. It will be wet & breezy and out by noon tomorrow they say.
-
Rainy, 46, wind up to 10 mph.
-
Wet. But nothing to write home about
-
The rain ended here for the most part around noon. Still some misting, still a bit breezy but nothing of concern. We went ahead and did our Saturday errands...
-
We had a slow steady rain most of the day on Saturday and then Saturday night it picked up considerably. It got windy and the rain got harder. Not sure exactly how much rain we got as my weather station lost connection with the instruments right after midnight. Up until then we had received about 2 inches, total.
-
Light rain and breeze at times, 49.
-
Y'all got more rain than we did, Jim. over the course of the 2 days we got about 1.75". We have a squall line fixing to come through here with possible severe weather. Once it's through its supposed to rain until around noon tomorrow. We'll see how much we get out of this one. Maybe it'll finish knocking us out of our drought?
-
That same line is supposed to get here today. Yesterday they were saying a slight chance for severe weather for us but today it dropped to marginal chance. It sprinkled a bit on my way to work but not much.
The rain we got on Saturday soaked right in. I could have driven the gator all over the land on Sunday without any worry of leaving ruts. I guess it was just so dry the ground sucked up all the moisture really quick.
-
It's like that every time it rains here, Jim. It's due to the sandy soil. There has to be tons of rain for it to stay wet more than a day. Today I'm cold. It's 59 outside 68 inside. Hoping I can talk Krys into turning on the heat at leas for a little while.
-
Ours only soaks in that fast if we haven't had any rain for quite some time. Otherwise it stays we a couple of days at least. Next week we are supposed to get rain every day and then turn considerably colder.
-
We have one more cold night/day. Then tomorrow night the cold front moves out and rain starts. Supposed to rain the rest of the week off and on and temps back up in the 80s
-
Clear, 50, light breeze at times.
-
Clear, 33, easterly wind up to 15 mph, windchill down into the lower 20's.
-
Wet.
-
Temp dropped to 30, windchill around 18, and still clear.
-
Sounds like winter has arrived for you William. We got up to 83° yesterday. Supposed to get cooler as the week wears on.
-
Fall/winter is supposed to arrive here Friday. Until then it will be wet and warm
-
We have a marginal risk of severe weather for tomorrow and we had a slow steady rain yesterday. Today it's supposed to be warm again. I think we are supposed to drop about 20 degrees over the weekend and might see some high 30s for the overnight temps.
-
Clear, 31, easterly wind up to 15 mph.
Low 29 yesterday.
2nd bout with colder weather, again not lasting long, for now.
-
Rain supposed to clear out tomorrow mid day, then temps will drop. Supposed to be low 40s tomorrow night/Fri morning. Brr.
-
Sunny, warmed to 50, light breeze at times.
-
It dropped 20° in an hour this after noon. From 80 to 60 by 4:30. It is currently 54 and Chloe is out trick or treating.
-
Sunny, 57, easterly wind up to 10 mph.
-
It's 2 right now, but supposed to cool back off by the weekend.
-
I'm sure it isn't 2° there Jen, maybe you missed a number? Currently 71 here supposed to be 64 by morning and that will be the high for the day. Temps will drop all day. Cold front coming through. Storms/thunder currently.
-
We have big changes coming this weekend. Freeze warning for most of the state tomorrow morning and Sunday morning. Next week we are supposed to have another cold front come through which is supposed to drop our morning temps to the middle 20s. I'm not looking forward to that.

me either. I'm not looking forward to the 30s that are coming.
-
yup, cold here too. We're suppose to have freezing temps next Tues/Wed night. I don't like the cold. And its too early to be THIS cold.
-
Too darn cold :freezin:
-
Currently 2 above at https://www.earthcam.com/usa/northdakota/cavalier/?cam=cavalier
Here, mix of clearing and clouds, 49, easterly wind up to 10 mph.
-
Currently 65. This will be our high today. Rain/storms within the hour then temps will drop all day. Will be in the mid 40s by 5 p.m.
-
It's in the low 40s and falling. When it started raining, it fell over 10 degrees in about half an hour. It's supposed to drop to 30 tonight.
-
We dropped 20 degrees in less than an hour this morning.. Supposed to freeze tonight.
-
Sunny, 44, light breeze at times.
-
Low this morning was 27 with a wind chill of 19. The wind has about stopped now and the temp is 42 with lots of sunshine. I guess winter is here. Where did fall go?
-
NWS Charleston says that it's about 45 here right now. I think it's colder. Low is supposed to be around 30 again. Brrr
-
It's warmer here too, about 45. Rain to come through tomorrow. I'm with Jim, what happened to fall?
-
Cloudy with some clearing, 45, breezy.
-
Been mild here. Cloudy, 48, calm.
-
We are supposed to get the weather that Barb got last night today. They say it will start about 1PM and go till 4AM tomorrow morning. Forecasters are saying we may get 6 inches of rain. Flash flood warnings for the same time period.
Schools are letting out early today as well.
We don't really need any more rain. The ground is saturated so flooding will be an issue if we get some hard downpours.
-
We are sorry of wet and definitely warm. Same weather system as Barb
-
Well, the weather has moved out of here as of about 5 p.m. Temps are dropping. Supposed to be cool and sunny tomorrow. We had some thunderstorms here, but nothing severe. Not even all that much rain here. Lots of strong winds with stuff blowing around that wasn't tied down. Counties around us had some severe stuff going on. Hope its not too bad for y'all.
-
Cloudy all day but the rain didn't really start till about 5:00PM. Then it rained off and on till about 10. 1.5 inches in that time span. I had done some drainage work so by the time I got up this morning most of the puddles were gone.
Very windy now though. That probably contributed to the roads being dry for my drive in this morning. The weather station recorded today's peak wind at 26.2 but right now it's about 3.8 with gusts to 6.9.
-
Don't guess we were done with the wind. Had a major gust in the middle of the night. Blew the porch chairs around and into the side of the house, and the garbage can up under the deck. Still windy out but suppose to die down by afternoon. But we have sunshine. and cold. it's 39 this morning. 20s with wind chill. It's been in the 70s all week, even in the mornings.
-
Foggy, 33, very light breeze at times.
-
Cloudy, 36, calm.
-
Warm and clear. About 67 right now. Was up to 76 today.
-
Warm and cloudy. Chilly in the wind.
-
Cloudy, 35, calm.
-
69. Supposed to hit 80 again tomorrow, then the bottom drop out for a few days.
-
Same here Jen, only not quite 80. Fri temps to start dropping for the weekend.
-
Sunny, 55, light breeze.
-
Dry, overcase, mid 70s. More of the same with slight chance of rain for rest of week.
-
Clear, 30, light breeze at times.
-
Light snow, 32, calm.
Half inch so far.
-
It cooled down enough that our high today is around 70.
-
Same here, Jen. After all the storms went through yesterday it cooled down. Actually turned on heat last night and will again tonight. But then I think that's it. It is supposed to start warming again. Was beautiful today though. Sunshine and not too hot.
-
It's 55 right now. And supposed to get to 71. Then again into the upper 40s tonight, then the break is over.
-
Yup, come tomorrow, break is over.
-
Clouds and sun, 58, light breeze.
-
Cool tonight, mid 40s and then warming back up. Low 70s tomorrow and near 80s on Friday.
-
Looks like we are in for some more nasty weather on Sunday and Monday again. Thank goodness it's not forecasts to be as bad as this past Sunday.
-
Sunny, 74, light breeze.
Humidity: 25%
Even turned the central AC on.
-
It's supposed to be bad for us here Jim. Severe with possible tornados, and coming through overnight.
-
Made to 77 today.
Clear, 60, light breeze.
-
Currently raining. Not going to be a nice weekend.
-
We're suppose to get rain tomorrow. It's gong to get in the 80s today. :hot:
-
Light rain, 46, calm.
24 hour temp change is -16
-
Wasn't supposed to rain much today, but it did. Had a couple of gully washers and rained all afternoon. More of the same tomorrow supposedly with severe weather overnight.
-
We're supposed to get the rain and severe weather tomorrow and through to Monday.
-
Same here but supposed to clear out Mon morning.
-
Drizzle, 44, calm.
-
I guess most of the bad stuff went north and south of us. We got about 1" of rain total but it was slow and steady instead of heavy. Everything got a good drink, settled the pollen some.
Glad you guys made it through Barb. This weather is definitely unsettled this year.
-
Jim, I've been tasked with asking you about your weather station. Scott's interested.
-
Jim, I've been tasked with asking you about your weather station. Scott's interested.
Here is a link to a couple of pictures of the station I have now. It was in a previous How's Your Weather topic.
http://www.southernspirithunters.com/smf/index.php/topic,5802.msg201946.html#msg201946
The station I had first has been discontinued. This is the one that I have now. It is so much better and doesn't require battery changes or a computer to upload the data.
https://www.ambientweather.com/amws2902.html
It's also available on Amazon.
-
Thank you!
-
Jim, the pictures aren't there. But I went to the website. Scott's next question is can it be uploaded to the national weather service?
-
We have possible severe storms coming through tomorrow. At least its in the daytime this time.
-
Jim, the pictures aren't there. But I went to the website. Scott's next question is can it be uploaded to the national weather service?
No. For the most part, the NWS does not accept information from private weather stations. There are a number of other sites that do. Weather Underground, Ambient Weather, Weather Cloud, Personal Weather Stations, etc. These sites all accept uploads from the weather station I have.
If you go to the weather station link, there are pics and a pretty good description and explanation of the features.
I guess the pics were a casualty of PhotoBucket.
-
Time to order a weather station. I have been accepted as a Storm Spotter with the NWS in Charleston. In their application package, they asked if we had a weather station which leads me to believe that if you are registered with the NWS that they may take your data from your station. More to follow! :yesssss:
-
I guess the pics were a casualty of PhotoBucket.
I suspect you are right. So much was.
