I got this cactus a couple years ago and it has had babies several times, but I have NO idea what this is.... It has been going on for about a year now. I thought it might be a bloom pod, but it hasn't opened....Any ideas???

I have no idea of the type of cactus, there are so many that look like that. But that cute fuzzy thing growing on it IS the bloom.

I can't reemember the type. I think it starts with an "E" (Boy- I'm a lot of help, huh :giggle: ). How long does it take them to bloom? This thing has been there for about a year or so.....

No, I think that is the bloom already fully opened as much as it will.
I have this cactus (unknown variety) outdoors. I waited a long time for these buds to open before I realized they were as open as they were going to be.

I have no idea what that is. Aren't I helpful?? Catci just get stuck in my skin -- I'm surprised I wasn't poked through the screen. Those are some strange looking blooms though!!
