Jimmy, they all look so healthy and happy! I'm so glad you are enjoying them. :banana02:

I see you have most of them in the self-watering AV pots...looks like you are having great luck with them.

Thanks Sarah and Triss. Yes I alway's keep a few of the plastic as well as the ceramic self watering pots on hand when I give an AV to someone I give it in a self watering plastic type and try to explain what to do and what not to do. Janet said I need to move to where I can have my plants in a green house and I could have the house to live in she did suggest we try to find a 4 bedroom on some land but that is a lot to do around here.

AWESOME AVs Jimmy!!! :Wow: I just killed another one of mine. It rotted, or something, the crown of it turned brown. I am trying to start a leaf and hopefully save it that way... :Crybaby: You and Sarah certainly have a gift for them!!

Hi Jimmy,

I have two african violets that are in bloom and 3 that aren't.  2 are together in one pot and probably need to be seperated.  I've never done that and am afraid to try.  I'm somewhat ham fisted.  2 of them need more dirt in their pots.  Maybe I'll get around to that today.  Of the two that have bloomed one is white and purple mixed.  And one is a lovely dark burgandy.  Really an awesome color.

duh I have lost my share and then some. If it wasn't for Sarah I would not have any like I do. I mix my soil for the AV's as well as all my plants. Each typ seems to need a special soil ie: the AV's my different types of Carnivorous plants as well as my Bat plant. I never have more then one plant in each pot that way I don't have to worry about seperateing them and killing them.

Duh, more than one plant per pot is not a problem, unless you are bothered by it, or are growing for show.

Jimmy...I'm just happy you love them. How are you liking the mini's?

The problem with the two in one pot is that the pot is only half full of soil and they are all stuck together and very cramped.  It's hard to find a way to water them.  They are not in an av pot.  Just a small plastic regular pot.  After I move and get some necessary things done I'll be right back at the garden inside and out but it will be awhile.  Money is going to be very tight.

Well I repotted the ones that were only half full.  Next is seperating the two that are in one pot.  I'm scared but I'm working up the courage.  I'm glad they like cramped places or they would be really in trouble right now.
