Originally by Duh "I bet you can guess...yep pot roast again. Still loving it."
I'm still eating lots of salads and sandwiches. It's how I roll in the summer.
-
We had chicken thighs chip cooked on the smoker.
-
That sounds good barb.
I still have more pot roast for this evening, which is good because chances are I'm going to come home zonked.
-
the last of the pot roast went on the plate today. Fortunately i have some tv dinners left.
-
Pan fried chops and veggies
-
I plan to do that tonight. Great minds...
-
Having the other chop tonight. Haven't figure out what to put with it. Maybe hashbrowns something else I shouldn't have. I'll choose a small potato.
-
baked chicken stouffer's dinner.
-
I'm still hungry but nothing is appetizing.
-
Last night it was chicken parmesan and spaghetti. Fortunately there was little spaghetti so not too bad for the diet. Tonight I'm trying for the chicken and dumplings. I'm up early enough I can put it in the slow cooker.
-
It is great. Almost to great I want to eat more than I should.
-
Sounds yummy. Gonna have to get the makings this weekend. Don't know what's for dinner tonight but I am hungry.
-
he he he leftovers
-
I had a pork chop last night. I can't remember what I had with it. I did fry it in with green sour apple slices. That was a treat.
-
stouffer's meatloaf. I still need to do the dishes.
-
london broil, yummy, green beans
-
fried chicken, Stouffer's.
-
spaghetti sauce and macaroni. Three days worth. I haven't been keeping up for some reason.
-
I just put the cabbage in the crock pot. As soon as I dethaw the corned beef it will go in there too, with carrots and potatoes. Yum now I can't wait for dinner.
-
So guess what is for breakfast this morning - corned beef hash and eggs, yum.
-
Stouffer's chicken pot pie. I burnt the top because I can't use my power setting on the microwave. it has never worked I don't know why.
-
Stouffer's Roast Turkey. I think our earlier discussion may have influenced me.
-
baked pork chops, rice, baked beans & lima beans
-
I've got an upset stomach so probably clear liquids
-
fried fish, french fries, baked beans. Same as last night. This was the last of the fresh fish for now.
-
I'm planning on the stouffer's fried chicken. But it will depend on my stomach it may be more clear liquids.
-
I'm still sticking to mostly salads and humus and sandwiches and such here. With occasional forays into hot foods when the weather permits.
-
Stouffer's meatloaf last night. I added buttered carrots to the entree. I need to be doing more veggies.
-
Stouffer's chicken breast. I got out a marinated pork loin but wasn't up to setting the oven timer. I'm pooped.
-
I made a pasta and meatball dish yesterday and I have at least two more meals of it.
-
We had marinated pork loin on Sat. Tonight we had a beef roast cooked in the crock all day with taters & carrots (I cooked it. lol). Yumm.
-
Mmmmm....
-
I have some boneless chicken breast. Last night I cooked them in caramelized onions yum. Not sure what I'll do tonight. Probably something with garlic.
-
Probably just a snack of some sort. had a huge yummy lunch at longhorn's steakhouse for lunch.
-
That sounds good to me. I'd love to go out for steak again but the budget won't allow it.
I had chicken last night. I don't have any idea how i cooked it so it didn't make much of an impression.
-
I had the parmesan chicken stouffer's dinner. It was good.
-
taco salad. yum
-
Taco Salad does sound good. But I'm feeling lazy so it will be stouffer's again tonight. So easy and fits into my healthy eating.
-
WE had chicken & rice tonight.
Tammy, watch the sodium in those stouffer's meals.
-
Thanks barb. Chicken and rice sounds good.
-
Probably a fend for yourself night as Krys is taking Chloe to gymnastics.
-
Stew beef on potatoes here.
-
I lied. Chip fried up some fish and fries. Eating now. Late dinner.
-
I did the stouffer's stuffed bell pepper. The pepper had not been parboiled prior to stuffing so it was tough.
-
I am having chicken and dumplings even if I have to buy a butt kicking machine.
-
I made Congressional Bean Soup on a Budget. It's pretty good too.
-
A london broils that needs to get cooked here. It'll be more than one meal.
-
Those are terrific.
-
Krys made stuffed shells for dinner on Sunday and we had the leftovers for dinner tonight. Pretty good stuff.
-
Is that as much work as it sounds like?
-
the filling for the shells and stuffing them is a lot of work. more than I would do. But she was craving it and willing to do it.
-
Thank you for the info. I'm still munching on the congressional bean soup and loving it.
-
now it is back to stouffers.
-
Sounds good barb. I did stouffer's. I had enough dishes just from the baking without adding to it. I used up the last of the bread so I guess I'm going to the store tomorrow.
-
Sure has been a long time since we posted in here! I know we all didn't quit eating.... :giggle:
Tonight I fixed Frito Pie and refried beans. Yummy.... :licklips:
-
last week, i wanted beef stew and didn't have any beef. so it ended up being pork stew. it was yummy!
-
We had beef stew last night, Jennifer. It was good. :)
-
Dianna, I ate on it for 3 days and put the rest in containers in the freezer for lunches.
-
We are having brats for supper tonight. Due to the power outage we may have later, I am already heating them and hoping to just nuke them to get them hot when Jim gets home.
-
Good plan, Dianna.
-
Jim and I went to Shoney's and had their breakfast for supper buffet. Mmm, mmm, good!
-
leftover chinese from monday.
-
We had chops w/veggies & mac&cheese. I got 2 bites of mac and cheese. Guess that what happens when I'm the last to fix my plate.
-
pizza!!!
-
Ravioli - Stoufer's frozen..
-
We had Cracker Barrel last night... :licklips:
-
baked ham and scalloped potatoes.
-
Rotated pork roast, veggies & noodles. I like the sound of yours better Jen, do you bake it together in a casserole? That's what I do and it is soooo yummy. One of those dishes that's better the 2nd day (if any left), but still yummy the first day.
-
i didn't this time barb. i usually just put the ham on the plate and smother it with the potatoes. but the next pan will be cooked together.
-
I dice up the ham and pan fry it with some onion first. Brings out the flavors, then put it in the taters and in the oven. Yum.
Tonight was breakfast for dinner and I'm still full.
-
Last night we had potatoes, smoked sausage, and onions baked together with a can of chili beans for a side. It was good.
-
I imagine its a 'fend for yourself' night since Kry just left to take Chloe to gymnastics.
-
We had Tissy chicken, rice a roni, and pintos for supper last night and strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting. I got the chicken when I went to the store for groceries, fresh off the rotisserie. :licklips:
-
I am glad you explained. I was going to ask what tissy chicken was.
Tonight I'm going to make my goulash. It's just hamburger, bacon, bell peppers, onions and tomatoes with pasta but it is so good. It will last me three days, better each day.
-
Gosh, that sounds good, Tina. :licklips:
We will be having grits and eggs for supper tonight. Jim's tummy is acting up again and I figure bland will be good for him. :)
-
That does sound good Tina. We had breakfast for dinner last night. Looks like chicken tonight. Dianna, did he ever go to a dr. about his tummy?
-
Dianna, did he ever go to a dr. about his tummy?
Yes, but it still hasn't been resolved. :(
We had grits, scrambled eggs, and toast for supper last night. It was good, even without a meat product. I was trying to think bland... :)
-
I'm on tv dinners. I had a cantaloupe a few days ago that had went bad. I didn't know. I was very sick all night.
-
I am sorry, Tammy.
-
Dunno what's for dinner tonight. Krys pulled out some chops but now she is going to her in-laws after work, so who knows
-
We went to Shoney's for breakfast again on our way to Walmart. Usually our normal routine on Thursday night. :)
-
Leftover goulash today.
-
Shock! Chip cooked the chops and they were actually good.
-
That's a good thing Barb! We had ham/green beans/potatoes tonight. Scott's request.
-
We went to Cracker Barrel tonight. I had the country fried steak, a side salad, lima beans, turnip greens, and cornbread... :licklips:
-
Tonight was Sghetti! Always good..
-
Today Teddy and I ate max n cheese with peas and carrots. I would rather of had my goulash but.... There is always tomorrow.
-
We had cubed steak and gravy, rice, field peas, and corn on the cob for supper last night. Mmm, mmm good! :licklips:
I am eating leftovers for breakfast right now. :wink5:
-
Guess we haven't been eating since April of last year. :giggle:
We had stewed beef and taters with rice for supper tonight. Planning on doing a couple of new recipes this week, so wanted to be easy on Jim tonight. :D
-
I made a batch of meatballs in sauce. I'll probably have another meatball sub.
-
tomorrow night will be pork chops cooked in the crock pot with gravy. i'll let y'all know how it goes!
-
Taco soup tonight. Recipe I found on FB. Hope it is good. :licklips:
-
Taco soup tonight. Recipe I found on FB. Hope it is good. :licklips:
It was!
-
Leftovers tonight. I am eating stewed beef and taters and Jim is finishing up the taco soup. :licklips:
-
Tonight we had a new recipe from Facebook that I tried. It was Poor Man Husband's Casserole. The jury is still out on whether we really like it or not, until I make it again. I will adjust the recipe just a bit to see if it makes us like it more. :)
-
dianna, remember that crustless pot pie recipe you gave us way back when? that is my favorite dish... modified to suit us, of course.
tonight, we had panera, for lions board meeting. but last night i stewed a chicken (sort of, it was about 10 large thighs, i think that qualifies at the equivalent of a large chicken) and i don't know what i'm doing with it, but i'll do something tomorrow!
-
I looked up your recipe, Dianna. It looks alright but something that would need "fixing"
-
Jennifer, I have never made a crustless pot pie. :SmileyQmarks: Mine has a top and bottom crust.
I am wondering if an extra can of tomato sauce would help it, Tina. To me, it seemed a little dry and the most I tasted was the cream cheese and sour cream. :ScratchHead: It just didn't "do it" for me. :)
-
Dianna, someone here did. It was basically the pot pie filling, and biscuits on the side. Scott and I both liked it. Like I said, modified for us and our tastes.
-
Tonight it was barbecued ribs, potato salad, and beans. Mmm, mmm good! :licklips:
