I thought this would be better than summer/fall/winter blooms... since we are all kind of hit and miss with posting them, but I like looking at everyone else's, so here is mine to share.
I have 3... actually they are fading today but were at their peak earlier this week...
hurricane lilies

I like the hurricane lilies. They're cool
-
Very nice.
-
Jen, the hurricane lillies you sent me are blooming too.
-
Jen, the hurricane lillies you sent me are blooming too.
sheri, you are the only person i sent them to who has said theirs are blooming. i'm glad they are.
-
The rain has taken care of those blooms. Rained too hard for too long and beat them to death.
-
we still have plenty. even with the rain. and the tea olive is blooming.
-
My entire yard is blooming today just like it's April or May. I hope it blooms again when it's REALLY April and May.
-
my rosemary is blooming and so are the confederate jasmine. Really weird for January.
-
Jasmine, iris, daffodils are blooming here.
-
daffodils? wow crazy weather.
-
It has been crazy. Really cold today. Spring will be interesting.
-
The indoor plants are blooming and the daffodils are coming up. I look forward to their bright yellow faces. I was tempted by the tulips at WalMart. if the voles, moles, and squirrels didn't gobble them right up I'd probably get a few.
-
The confederate jasmine, the other leggy yellow plant and the daffodils are all blooming I've got to figure out the camera thing.
-
right now i have my tulip magnolia (or japanese poplar or whatever the heck it is called), carolina jessamine, pine trees, azaleas, and i don't know what all else.
-
my azaleas died. I don't think I gave them enough additives for the soil here.
The plum tree is in full bloom. I wish I had another one so I could get plums. It wants to cross pollinate.
-
the first tulip outside has bloomed. I almost missed it among all the weeds.
-
Trying to keep potted snap dragons alive but it gets so hot they droop and I'm afraid to water them in the heat of the day. Does anyone else have this problem?
-
sit the pot in a plate/bowl of water and let them suck it up from the bottom as needed.
-
The dish dries out faster than the plant does. But maybe I could do that during the heat of the day. Thanks for the tip. I really need to get out there with the camera.

Hurricane lilies!
-
Hurricane lilies!
they are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing Sheri!
-
Appropriately named. And they are fierce like a hurricane. They come up even though they're under landscape fabric.

Spring is with you! Beautiful.
-
pretty. i have blooms, i just haven't posted. i have to see what's out there tomorrow and post. other than my rose. i have one rose that is dynamite about blooming, nearly all year long.
-
Thanks. I have something in my yard that smells delicious. I've always called it a privette shrub but have no idea what it really is. The flowers remind me of a butterfly bush. Wish it would bloom forever.
Jen do you have a problem with Japanese beetles on your roses? Some years they eat mine to death.
-
sheri, take a picture of your blooming plant. i want one. i want to fill my yard with plants that bloom and/or smell good. you know, the think about my roses is that i don't pay a whole lot of attention to them. not nearly enough, that's for sure. and right now, they are not where i can. i've got to weed and mulch around them. but i have one blooming today. as well as some amaryllis type blooms. i'll try to get a picture up. and i have easter lilies that are going to bloom soon.
-
I'll get a picture as soon as I feel like walking out there. I can smell it from the door. It's delicious.
-
Jen, thanks for responding to my text and identifying the shrub or is it a tree? Wish it would root.
-
sheri, look online, there are instructions for rooting it. i wish i had one, and one day, i'll buy one. they smell heavenly and will bloom all winter in a mild year here.
-
Interesting that they're big as trees and I've never noticed them before because I walk through and we take Lightening McQueen through what we call Colt's race track all the time.

What is it? It is pretty. Lantana?
-
sheri, you are doing an amazing job of posting pictures.
-
It's not lantana. Johnny and I bought a bulk volume of these seeds years and years ago and scattered them in a field we had cleared. We didn't have the foresight to think that the field would grow back up and these short flowers would be mostly hidden. They don't have a fragrance.
-
Verbena?
-
Not verbena
-
OK.
-
I love the color of this hydrangea before it turns blue.

I bought this big pot at Roses a few years back for $25.00 and planted all sorts of bulbs and perrinals in it so it blooms all year. I bought another one and gave it to Ginger. Wish I'd kept it for myself :)

Very pretty.
-
the gardenias smell so good.
-
i really like it!
-
Jen will gardenias grow for you? August Beauty gets really tall and full. The ones in the distance in that last picture aren't August Beauty but they're some kind of dwarf gardenias and are double the size they were supposed to get. They're evergreen so that's nice too. I have August Beauty in the front of the house for privacy.
-
I need some advice on my brugmansia. I know it won't bloom until after the stalks/trunks split/branch, but how do you get them to branch. The only time it has branched and bloomed is when the workers dumped all the garbage from the gutters on it and it broke. I would sure like to see it bloom this year. As it is, if it does branch it will do it pretty high up as the stalks are about 3 ft. tall.
-
barb, i don't know how to get them to branch. i do know that if you can get it in the ground, and mulched really well, they will survive your winters outside. They do here, and gramma had one on the bayou that was about 5' tall.
sheri, they do grow here. i just haven't gotten one in the ground because i can't make my mind up where i want it. i've about decided though, so that's a plus. now i just have to get one.
today, i have easter lilies, roses, and sweet flag blooming. i'd post pictures, but i'm not that far yet!
-
You can trim them. Cut or pinch the tips. They will branch below where you cut.
My brug was more than 15 foot tall and put out lovely flowers. I lost it due to drought.
-
Thanks. I'll try pinching the tops.
-
It's been cooler, in the 80's, for 2 days and the flowers have perked up.
