I'm still eating lots of salads and sandwiches. It's how I roll in the summer.

Having the other chop tonight.  Haven't figure out what to put with it.  Maybe hashbrowns something else I shouldn't have.  I'll choose a small potato.

Last night it was chicken  parmesan and spaghetti.  Fortunately there was little spaghetti so not too bad for the diet.  Tonight I'm trying for the chicken and dumplings.  I'm up early enough I can put it in the slow cooker.

That sounds good to me.  I'd love to go out for steak again but the budget won't allow it.

I had chicken last night.  I don't have any idea how i cooked it so it didn't make much of an impression.

Sounds good barb.  I did stouffer's.  I had enough dishes just from the baking without adding to it.  I used up the last of the bread so I guess I'm going to the store tomorrow.

Rotated pork roast, veggies & noodles.  I like the sound of yours better Jen, do you bake it together in a casserole? That's what I do and it is soooo yummy. One of those dishes that's better the 2nd day (if any left), but still yummy the first day.

Yes, but it still hasn't been resolved. :(

We had grits, scrambled eggs, and toast for supper last night. It was good, even without a meat product. I was trying to think bland... :)

Tonight we had a new recipe from Facebook that I tried. It was Poor Man Husband's Casserole. The jury is still out on whether we really like it or not, until I make it again. I will adjust the recipe just a bit to see if it makes us like it more. :)

dianna, remember that crustless pot pie recipe you gave us way back when? that is my favorite dish... modified to suit us, of course.

tonight, we had panera, for lions board meeting.  but last night i stewed a chicken (sort of, it was about 10 large thighs, i think that qualifies at the equivalent of a large chicken) and i don't know what i'm doing with it, but i'll do something tomorrow!

I looked up your recipe, Dianna. It looks alright but something that would need "fixing"
Title: Re: What's for Dinner.....#46
Post by: Dianna on Feb 27, 2018, 10:03:15 PM
Jennifer, I have never made a crustless pot pie.  :SmileyQmarks: Mine has a top and bottom crust.

I am wondering if an extra can of tomato sauce would help it, Tina. To me, it seemed a little dry and the most I tasted was the cream cheese and sour cream.  :ScratchHead: It just didn't "do it" for me. :)

Dianna, someone here did.  It was basically the pot pie filling, and biscuits on the side.  Scott and I both liked it.  Like I said, modified for us and our tastes.
