After seeing Sarah's Crocus, I decided to see if mine were coming up.   :ScratchHead:  I was so busy this morning cleaning up all the tree debris I didn't bother to check on any of my flowers.   :smileyNo:  Well, I can't see anything out there right now, but since they're in a low spot at the back of the yard it's like a small pond where they should be.  :yikes:  Maybe after some of the water soaks in a litle bit I'll be able to see them peeking through the ground.

After we got back home from Summerville, I headed down to the corn/potato patch and finished up tilling the end where I am going to plant potatoes.  That didn't take too long so I headed over to the garden spot and ran the tiller through that for the first time.

I cut my seed potatoes, so they can cure for a couple of days.  As long as the weather holds, I will probably plant them on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I separated the egyptian walking onions and got them all replanted.  Moving these all to the new place is going to be fun.  They'll take a rather large pot.

The ground is still way too wet to do any serious gardening out there, :SmileyFit:  so I just spent the day just cleaning up things around the yard and in the beds.  I was checking on a lot of stuff to see if there way any signs of new growth or things starting to wake up from their winter nap.   :Watching:

I haven't even gone out today to check.  I've got a cold so my energy isn't at it's top level.

Today, the only thing I was able to do was go around and check on a few things in the spots where I could walk.  I have to avoid a lot of the yard because it's still too muddy in so many places and it would just cause me more problems,.  :thpullhairout:

I've spent the past couple nights at LaRelle's, helping with the baby, & she was fussing about the Periwinkle (Vinca) taking over her roses.  She was afraid that in the heat of the summer, they'd be hogging all the water & starving the roses.  I went out to look, & they REALLY were bad! :o

This morning when I saw how nice the weather was, I knuckled down & started digging & pulling (& got mercilessly attacked by rose thorns). Four hours later her roses were freed up, & I left the patch between them, for her to dig out if she wants to.

I was so pooped by the time I got done, I decided to take a nap... which lasted almost 3 hours! :dummy: When I finally got out of there (so I could work in my own yard on such a nice day & transplant some of that Vinca to the hill on the other side of our driveway), I stopped off at a friend's house to say "hi"... & she loaded me down with more plants!  When I finally got home, I had enough plants to keep me out of trouble for a while, with several boxes of Vinca & a dozen tulip bulbs from LaRelle's... plus Scotch Moss, Passion vines, & several Solomon's Seal starts!

 <~glutton for punishment.   (I don't even have half of my beds cleaned out yet!)

Boy, Patty, you really did tackle quite a bit of work at LaRelle's,  :yikes:  but it looks wonderful!  It sure looks like you made a haul at your friend's house, so I'm sure that will keep you out of trouble for a while.  :laughpound:  Don't feel bad about your yard because mine is in terrible shape and it's probably going to take me all summer before I can get it looking like something decent.   :ScratchHead:

I'm thinking in terms of years rather than just seasons to get the new place in shape.  Right now it is dirt and a few trees with some tuffs of grass here and there.  And then the woods where it looks like teenagers have partied in the past and left their beer bottles and soccer balls laying around for me to clean up.
