My last house had oak, hickory, maple... I had an easy foot deep of leaves on my back  yard in fall. Here theres fruit trees and pines. Across the street are sycamores so those are all I get when they blow into my yard. A friend at a different phorum is raking her leaves, her neighbors ditches and plans on going out at night and steal everyones bagged leaves! She's a leaf thief!!

That forum uses ph for most f's.

I don't know where Stella lives, but I could direct her to your neighborhood. :giggle:

We've had a bunch of rain since I put out the seeds so I'm hoping they germinate quickly.  I'm excited about seeing the results of this adventure.

oh.  you leave it in?  I thought I would take it out when the winter is over.

I did leave it one year, more by accident than design...I had put straw over the top and forgotten it was there.
Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground

I use clover, wheat, rye, winter peas, and/or buckwheat as cover crops, depending on my goal for that particular chunk of garden space.

Sarah, will you explain this to me por favor?
