Topic: Foggy headlights

Since I work in shop I have noticed around here in Texas there are alot of headlights that look alittle foggy, we do a service called headlight restoration it cost 40.00 dollars for both headlights but im going to let you on a secret... wal mart sells the same kit for about $20 < some wal marts may differ in sales price> but you can do it at home... but, make sure its a sunnt warm day with little wind..you can also goto this web site it will explain alittle more on how it works and ect.  www.myheadlight.com  whatever you do please do not use brake fluid to clean your head light lenses if it gets on your paint it will remove the paint.... 2 rule after you fininish the job do not wash your vehicle for at least 24 hour, if you do wash the vehicle before that time you will be back at square 1. Good stuff Jayrod.  I meant to reply here earlier but got sidetracked.  I took a look at the site also and it had some good information.  I noticed that my lights on the Buick are just beginning to look that way.  May have to try one of these remedies.

The last time I took my car in for a tune up my shop threw in the headlight cleaning for free. They are not the cheapest repair shop in town but very thorough. And honest.

 I have tried the link myself and it did not work for either, if you want info on this product do a google search for myheadlight . As a reminder they do sell this product over the counter for a cheaper price, at my wal mart its over by the headlights and head light bulbs, it comes in a package. If you need any more information on this product please dont hesitate to ask.

I wanted to look to see what kind of tools and effort I would need. Really to see if it is something my arthritic hands could handle.
I have recently started stopping by a tire repair place for getting air in my tires. I have a pancake compressor at home but I can't get those little caps off of the tires to fill them. It is sad getting old.

Thank you for this, Jim. I though it was on the inside of the lens cover and you would need to remove it. Even I could do this. Mine are sparkly clear but my daughter's new  (used) car needs some help.
