What's for Dinner 14
« on: Jul 22, 2009, 05:27:18 PM »
Figured I start a new one since the other is full.  We're having burritos smothered underneath stoke's green chili sauce.   :542:  Mmmmmm!

And i went and answered you in the last one. But it was post 100 so I'm not feeling too guilty.
I am working on a large crab salad now. To eat with a fork or to pile on sandwiches.

I made a similiar sandwich a couple weeks ago and it was wonderful.  I wrapped it and then squished it in the fridge for about 4 hours.  I only use Italian as a marinade or dressing.  I hate it on salads -- it's Adam's favorite salad dressing though.  And you've got crab salad going to??  That sounds great also!

Braised chicken with carrots, onions, celery and garlic. Collards with smoked ham hocks and fried potatoes.

macoghetti? I've never heard of that and I've been cooking since I was 12.

Skhilled, macoghetti is like beefaroni...

We had pork steak, "rotten" taters (potatoes au gratin), and green beans for supper tonight with some butterscotch pudding for dessert... :grinnnn:

You gotta recipe for your rotten tators, Dianna?  I haven't found one that I especially like.

We're fixing mexican shredded pork (my fav) and serving it over lime/cilantro rice.  Mmmmm.  If I can get Adam to bring home some sierra mist, then we'll also fix up some cherry limeades.

We are having chicken strips with lemon sauce.  Have an extra kid for dinner so I am quick thawing another chicken breast to cook up.  Rice to go with.

We are all under the same stars, therefore we are never far apart.

I use the Food Lion brand, Sarah Loo. The directions are on the box. :giggle: We like it... :grinnnn:

We had popcorn shrimp, mozarella sticks, pasta salad for supper tonight. Desi really loves pasta salad and she ate quite a few of the shrimp, too... :542:

Dinner was only a few hours ago and I really had to think about what I made.  Hamburgers and fries.  Pretty simple huh.  I think I lost my mind this week.

Yum. Cheese enchiladas. :licklips: It has been years since I have had one of those. You got enough for me, too? :grinnnn:

We had grilled ham and cheese sandwiches for supper tonight. I didn't feel like cooking...

Sarah, lay down, close your eyes and stop thinking that way.  You work too hard.

Johnny brought shrimp from the fish camp tonight.

Sarah Loo, it sounds like you need a pot of chicken soup instead of a bacon cheeseburger... :)

We went to Mariachi's for supper tonight. The mariachi band was just starting up when we left... :grinnnn:

I just don't have the time to fix myself chicken soup.  God knows that no one in this house would do it.

You need to can your own chicken soup...then it's just a heat and eat thing, with all the comfort of being homemade. It's saved me more than once.

Feel better soon!  :flower:

I splurged today and bought myself a steak at lunch to cook for dinner. Now the $64M question, will I have the energy to cook it.     :laughpound:
