it is nearly dark, so the humidity will stay up here. i laughed because we had a foreign exchange student one time who said, as he got off the plane, "how do you breathe here? it is so WET!"

It was up in the mid 90s today, but himidity is down, so not too bad. The rain and humidity will be back on Fri. just in time for the weekend. Isn't that they way it always is?

Today's high was at 3 p.m. - 97° The heat index was 108° and that was with the humidity only at 50%. Would have hated to see the heat index if the humidity was higher! Can you say "oppressively HOT"?

It's down to a much cooler 91° now

Supposed to be warm and sunny this weekend as well. Patrick said this morning this is the first year he can remember that it was warmer when they started school than when it ended. He said it did not feel like summer.

Our most local tv station (Columbia) said it will be 96° with a heat index of 100°...

Our weather station gadget machine says that on our land it is 96°, 53% humidity, and a heat index of 110°. Have to remember that we do not have any large trees on the lot to shade us...

It is currently (@5:15 p.m.) 92° with a heat index of 105°. At 11:30 a.m. it was 97° with a heat index of 111° and we don't even hit our high until between 1 and 3. We are supposed to have more of the same tomorrow and Sunday.
