At 3:40 p.m. it is 104° with a heat index of 115°. It isn't even officially summer yet. I hate to see what August will bring.

nd it sounds like we are getting the afternoon thunder shower. I hear the thunder anyhow. The local radar is down on weather underground.

we topped out at 98.3* and we are down to 97. ugh. i'm with you on august. makes me want to get a vacation home in alaska.

I have no idea how hot it got today, but I'm sure at least the heat index was triple digits before the storms came through. Never did rain at work, but stormed all around us. Our OIT guy said he got hailed on about 10 miles from the office. I got home and the tray under my plant was full to the brim, so it rained at leat 1.5 inches here - more I'm sure as there's a lake in the dogs' yard. The storms did cool it down some for a short time, then it got steamy out. Such is life in the summer in the panhandle.

topped 101 today. not a drop of rain or a cloud in sight. you know it is hot when the bougainvillas wilt.

The squash plants they planted at work have been wilting every day for well over a week. I think a couple of them have actually died, or are dying. They didn't start out well to start with.

The hit 98 with a heat index of 120 at my house today. At work 95/108. It is currenty 85 with a heat index of 90 at 8:45 p.m.
