We've never adopted a dog from a shelter, but we've known people in the past who have, and they have turned out to be the best dogs you could ask for....its like they know that you are rescuing them from a life in a cage.

After Kobe, and down the road, if we were to get another dog, that is where we would go.

Yes, all pets should be fixed. I used to handle purebreds at dog shows. When I said mutts, I really meant it. Most of the time they are so much smarter than the 'breeds'.

All of mine are "fixed", and all I've ever had were. It's the responsible thing to do.

 I try to go to the pound to get my animals. My kitty is a rescue cat and my boyfirneds dog is a rescue dog. We also n and s all our animals. My family has only gotten one cat from a breeder but it was because it was my mums fav cat but now u can find them all over the pound .

Sheri, if you have a breed in mind, there is very likely a rescue group near you...try google. If you don't yet have a breed in mind, cruise petfinder and see if someone jumps out at you. :)

Adopt one! I almost came home from a save the pets fundraiser the other weekend with a dog that was a poddlemix ..prob a mutt from local humane society! He was sooooo cute!
