I shot a deer!
« on: Jun 08, 2007, 10:56:05 PM »
Don't anybody panic... I shot a deer with my camera!  :grinnnn: (I don't have to field dress them when I do it that way!)

Earlier today, BG put a bunch of old bread heels out on the deck to dry. ...and then we forgot about them! (We don't want to weed under the feeders anymore, so we've decided to feed the birds bread crumbs.)  Just a few minutes ago, I heard a strange noise coming from the deck, & looked out the door to find a deer wolfing them down!

I grabbed my camera & went to the dining room window & got a couple real nice shots of her!

She saw me through the window & when she turned around to take off, I noticed that she was wet. I'll bet there are some little spotted critters somewhere close by... if they were old enough to walk around, she would have had them with her.  Her milk bag was soooo full, I ached for her & told her, "Slow down... it's only a camera!"

Good reason to shoot with the camera, instead. Now you don't have a mess to clean up! :laughmao:

Awwww. How sweet!

I am so happy that you didn't use a gun to shoot that deer, but I think Jim was ready to pull out all weapons to get them out of our garden. Luckily the hair and the Irish Springs soap have been working... :grinnnn:

Yep, I am not sharing my peas with the deer.  I love to watch them and shooting with the camera is the only way to do it around our house.  Both our sons say they are going to shoot one and Dianna threatens to whip em if they do.

Pretty good photos through the glass.  :goofy:
