brrrr it is 40 now and i'm cold. it has been on again/off again cloudy today. supposed to get back in to the 20's tonight but then warm up a bit for a few days. i hope.

one of the kid's friends who lives a little north of us (but in the same county) said it was snowing flurries at her house.

i do NOT want snow. but it could happen. it is just the right temps and we are supposed to have some rain come through

Jessica, your temps make me feel bad for complaining... but... our high today was 45. It is currently 37 at 5:45 and will get down to the high teens, low 20s tonight depending on how far from the water a person is (closer to water=warmer). Too darn cold for December in FL.

I'm tempted to go for a drive. Seems to be the only place warm lately. And it actually can get too warm in the car. Too bad I have a burnt out headlight.

that is too bad. i bumped up the thermostat. i'm not usually home during the day so it is set about 62. but i got cold.

my bill was $116. that is the lowest it has been in 5 years. i'm loving the fact that matthew knows his fingers will be broke if he touches my thermostat.

Mine was under $100 the previous two months. Last month was about what yours was, but I know my heater makes it go up more than the a/c, believe it or not. But then I keep the a/c set at almost 80. My problem is that I just don't handle/tolerate the cold anymore. So when it gets really cold, I have a hard time keeping my hand off the thermostat.

My bones and joints hurt when I get cold. A big mug of hot chocolate seems to be helping, if only temporary.

Don't feel bad, Barb. It is all relative. I guarantee that if I was from Florida and had your temps I would be complaining too. And on the other side of things, I would not like your heat and humidity. We have heat and humidity but not like all of you in the south have it.

I'm not a fan of the humidity myself, but I love warmth, but not hot. It's just a lot easier to be comfortable when its hot out. For me anyhow, since I like to be warm. And my bones/joints don't hurt so much when its warm out. The hot chocolate really did help though, I'll need to do that more often. Warm up from the inside out.

The cold didn't use to bother me so bad. I lived in Iceland for a couple of years, and in Oregon for a lot of years. But I'm thankful I don't live either place anymore. lol.

This time yesterday, we were in the low to mid 30s, so I am happy with 50. However, we are supposed to get below freezing again tonight.
