OMG... my kids' aunt lives in Aumsville. Gonna have to have Krys check on her.

OK, just talked with daughter. Her Aunt had sent her a text just asking if she had heard they had an F2 tornado. When daughter texted back asking if she was ok, she hasn't heard back. So we are going to assume she is until/unless we hear otherwise.

Yep, don't feel like the deep south today. It's more like the deep freeze. Forecast is for some light precipitation this evening that could be sleet or freezing rain, before turning to all rain tomorrow sometime. Might be fun driving to work in the morning!

It's warming up here already. i can be outside without my heavy coat. not sure of current temp. supposed to be much warmer with rain the next couple of days. I know the growers are happy about it.

Your temps are rising and ours are dropping. You'd think we lived on opposite sides of the country or something. Today was 51 when I woke and never rose above that. That is cold enough for me.

it is currently 47. We hit 57 today. Tomorrow will be high 60s with rain. Thankful I don't have to drip my faucet tonight. Hopefully I will sleep better.

31 °F Overcast and icy. I'm not sure who makes decisions but the Charlotte schools weren't closed or even delayed and it's all over the news about the roads and wrecks because of icy conditions, Darbi's school which is charter school in Union County is closed for the day and my school, in Union County, was on a 2 hour delay.

Southern people can't drive in these conditions and we don't even pretend we can.

We got about 5" of snow overnight. The roads are slippery as can be and the wind is blowing so the visibility isn't great. Every school around us was 2 hours late and some are closed. Our schools were on time. The only school in the area on time. Frustrating. It just is not safe to be traveling with kids out there.
