jess, that is true.  and you'd hate our 100* days with 100% humidity and it isn't raining.  it is a trade off.

Yes it is a trade off. My ex was from Wisconsin and would wear tank tops and shorts in 30° weather. Guess its what your body is accustomed to.
Dear Lord, On this day, please wrap your arm around my shoulder and keep your hand over my mouth.  Amen

I would not wear shorts and tank top in 30° weather but I would be wearing shorts sleeves in your mid 50's weather.  Especially in the spring.  That feels cooler to us in the summer because we do have warm summers but in April and May, 50° feels wonderful!

My ex had a natural fur coat, ask anyone who ever met him. I'm sure that helped keep him warm.  :giggle: And yes, a sunny and calm day in the mid 50s feels nice after a cold winter, not short sleeve nice, but nice. The damp low to mid 50s this a.m. with a bitter north wind blowing was not nice. Felt better this afternoon when the wind calmed. I am more than ready for spring!

Good morning. It still rather cold here, 31 at 9:00 a.m. but still sunny and we're supposed to warm to 60 and not freeze tonight.

It only got up to 69* today but it wasn't warm enough for short sleeves because of the wind. Cooling off now.

Currently 40°. Had the windows open for a short time today. Just long enough to air out the living area somewhat. Really needed the air change.

Yesterday felt warm, don't think it hit 30* if it did it wasn't much over. You know it's been cold when 30* feels warm!
Waiting for a noreaster tonight. We aren't supposed to get too much. I think 1-3 inches. Yay! more shoveling! (not)

Well I've got a couple of inches of snow and it's still comming down.  I'm not going anywhere for awhile.  It's burrrrrrr cold out there.  I'm just glad shadow came in and I was able to dry him off.  He's got the sniffles but I'm hoping for the best.

We have had the mildest January, except for wind. But the temps have mostly stayed between 55* and 65* With a couple of bounces up to near 80*. Next month should be cooler and damper.

At this early morning, clear, 47°F, no wind.

Light rain coming for a couple of days, then back to sunny and not as warm.

The wind was cold this morning walking to school but the temps are nice and while we are expecting some rain in the next few days, not too much.  Back to sun after that but cooler temps here as well.

We are all under the same stars, therefore we are never far apart.
