sheri, i doubt mr snake would hurt todeta. and i doubt she would hurt him. he's not big enough to want to try to eat her and i imagine as yappy as she can be, he'd just run for the hills rather than listen to it
it is a good looking snake though. i like snakes, as long as they are where they are supposed to be, or in a zoo. don't like them as pets. that just seems cruel.

I have most of my peonies under the trees and the protection keeps the blossoms on the plants much longer.

i have a rose bush that blooms in spite of me... here are some of the blooms for 2 weeks ago. i forgot to post them
i need to figure out the best way to cut this back though. it is a climber and is way to straggly (hasn't been pruned in 5 years or more)

I say cut them anyway you want to. Winter is best. But anytime. Roses are tough and most often recover nicely by the next blooming season.

I can not get a mandavilla to grow. I'm going to try again this year. They are all around me but won't seem to grow in my yard.

This is the third year for Ellie and I to try. Something is working better for us. Not sure what.

I think Queen Anns Lace is so pretty.
The daylillies are hanging in there.
duh, a while back you sent me a bag of gladiola bulbs. I don't think there was a particular reason for you sending them. It wasn't planting season but I stuck them in the ground anyway.
