I found inexpensive miniature roses at two different places this week.  So this morning I wa able to replace all the dug up roses and I think it may look even better than it did.  So  all is good in the hood.

I don't know that's going on with the universe these days.  I still have pansy's blooming and they look great.  Every petunia I've put out has dried up and died but the pansy's are lovely.  Other people have told me that their petunias have died too.  Wonder if there has been something wrong with petunia producers or the seeds.  It's just weird.  Petunias are usually planted everywhere around here and do well.

Weird weather for sure. I'll take any extra moisture people have to spare. I am losing plants right and left to the drought.

I'm sorry to hear about your drought.  it has stayed moist and humid here.  In fact I've had snapdragons in bloom all summer.  I'm loving it.  I added another 3 roses to the sidewalk bed.  There are now 27 roses in that bed but I expect to loose about half of them.  I don't have a kind hand when transplanting.  But I'm hoping for the best.

Today I got out there early enough to spray the wasp nest.  After getting stung twice this year I'd really like to see the end of those permanently.  Then I cut the side area.  Now I need to get into the blueberry bed and weed it.  Along with doing everything else.

Thanks Tina.

I went hog wild at the nursery today.  I got indian feather, gonza, day lilies golden, hot lips, and white ice plant.  I'll be planting tomorrow.  Wish me luck.

We got lots and lots of rain too.  I've canned tons of tomatoes and green beans.  Interesting it's the middle of August and my green beans have just started producing.

It's time to start thinking about fall planting and my summer planting won't stop producing.  This is terrible but I'm getting a little tired of being in the garden in this heat but I have to pick everything.  Don't I?  I brought in 30 or 40 squash today, 8 pounds of tomatoes, a bushel of green beans, okra, cucumbers.  I noticed the squash bugs have made an appearance and I'm not even freaking out. They are way late this year.  Wonder what that's a sign of.

What do you do with all of your spare produce, Sheri? I would be looking for a food pantry to donate to about that time.

Yes, I knew you were canning again. I think that is wonderful. And so is sharing with others.

I bought a bag of sand so I'm going to try propagating Asiatic lilies from leaves.  Wish me luck.

Good luck, Tammy. I actually tried that once. But I am not very good at diligence. Mine dried up.

Considering all of the water is going to go to the bottom immediately that must be easy to do.  I put in 5 yellow and 5 of the other.  I'm not sure what color it is.
