I went to the Humane Society Yard Sale and got a scanner for 5.00 with the book and everything.  I was afraid to hook it up but I did and it works great.  That's going to make the cookbook so easy.  So Yea!

tammy, mine works and then doesn't on a regular basis.  and i paid full price.  they are just persnickety.

It comes in as a text word pad documents with many blank little boxes.  It seems like I can fix it in my generic word program but it does take some work.  I had hoped it would give me good copy in PDF but it didn't work that way.  It's still better than redoing the entire recipes.  Thanks for the moral support.

Most scanners don't scan to PDF.  You need software to convert the text to PDF.  Here is a link to a free one that might work:
