Yep! It works great, too. Jim has put his foot down on me scavenging dumpsters for it, though...

I have cardboard under all that hay out by the little puddle. If I see a weed, it is easily pulled and if I see too many, I lay down more cardboard. My sunroom floor has been the "saving" place for me because when I kept it under our deck (a great big pile of cardboard), it started composting before I used it...

We have got some great soil up under that deck now...

The only gardening I have done lately was re-pot my pineapple after the wind blew it off the porch. Does that count? I gotta a lot I need to do.

Dianna, the glue in the cardboard boxes doesnt effect the plants? Hmm learn something new. I've used brown paper bags and newspaper that way too.

Wrennie, I will use any paper product for the garden. I haven't noticed that the glue has had an effect on anything. I even used my shredded paper when I ran out of cardboard...

Let me know if it works better than the landscaping plastic. I already got weeds growing through the end that you helped me with.

I think it works better than the landscape stuff. I had that junk in the front bed when I first planted, but now have pulled it all out and am planning on using newspaper/cardboard there. I need to get those iris back in the ground...

The big problem with the landscape fabric is that it eventually decomposes just like the cardboard. Of course it is designed that way. Keeps you coming back each year for the replacement. Now the pieces I brought home from work won't do that. It has the same type of fabric, but it has a UV stabilizer that helps with the sun breaking it down. It also has a 3mm thick piece of polypropylene laminated to it. That also helps keep it from breaking down.

I put some holes in the ones we put down and of course there are a few weeds that have found them. I put the holes in them to allow for drainage. I still have some if you need some.
