What's For Dinner... #47
« on: Mar 02, 2018, 08:16:35 AM »
Jim and I had fried bologna sandwiches with cheese last night. We didn't get back from setting up until 9:45 and didn't want any of the fast food in Santee. Sure wish we had had tomatoes to put on them. :)

went to dinner at the in-law. pork chops, tater salad, deviled eggs, baked beans, blackberry cobbler. Good dinner, good visit (chip didn't go lol).

Gosh blackberry cobbler.  If the deer don't get the blackberries or if the rain hasn't knocked off all the blooms I'm going to gather some and make me a cobbler.  Johnny won't eat it but that's ok.  I'll eat it all :)

We went to Cracker Barrel for supper tonight and had the chicken and rice Saturday special. I had pintos with onions and macaroni and cheese to go with it and Jim had the green beans. Sure was good, but I couldn't finish all of mine and Jim couldn't his, either. I am trying to lose weight now so will be eating til I am full and not trying to eat everything to keep from wasting it. :)

Dianna wish we had a Cracker Barrel that isn't so crowded all the time.  There's always a line out the front door no matter what time we go.  The one in Matthews is the only one on this side of town.

We just got one right smack in the middle of town. Actually just a couple blocls down the road from Golden Corral.. unusual to not be by a highway.

Oh, and Sheri, it has been as 2 hr waiting list every day since it opended a month ago.

wow, no one posted in here in a long time.  tonight, i put some pork cube steaks in the oven smothered in creme of mushroom soup.  we had that over buttered noodles.  There is enough for Scott and I to have leftovers for lunch one day this week.  They were good. and we had grapes for dessert.  I've been craving them.  We've gone through 5 bags in the last 2 weeks.

We've been having a lot of meatless dinners and just eating out of the garden with mac & cheese thrown in once in a while.

I did buy hamburger, thinking Colt would want spaghetti while he was here, but he didn't, so I fixed a meatloaf for dinner tonight and mashed potatoes.

Craving grapes??  What's that all about?

Grapes contain iron.  Wonder if your iron is low?  Are you keeping a secret from us?  Maybe this craving means something else :) :) :)

We may just have leftover meatloaf for dinner.  Not sure at this point.

sheri, if *thats* a problem, then either i will be a very rich woman, or we all better be prepared for the second coming as I do NOT have the plumbing in place for *that* :giggle:

leftover meatloaf sounds wonderful.
