We need some rain bad. Heat index has been triple digits for week now so the grass is turning a light shade of brown. Only good thing with that is I don't have to mow as much.

Same here Jim. Been raining off and on all around me - I mean within blocks. But not a drop of rain at my place. Temps near or above 100. Heat index 115+. Today it got to 100/118 then the clouds rolled in, dark and thundering, but not a drop of rain. It did however, cool us down to 86/96. Downright cool, comparatively.

We actually got rain today which kept up relatively cool - mid to upper 80s. Feels like upper 90s. First time in almost two weeks we weren't under a heat advisory.

We got a lot of rain today. Rained off and on all day, then a nasty storm came through early afternoon.

RAIN! We haven't had much rain this summer but it looks like we are going to make up for it this week. It's been raining lightly pretty much all day but they say tomorrow is when the heavy rains will start. I'll be making sure the drainage ditch is open all day tomorrow to keep the flooding on the property down. The low spots that act as outlets to the ditch get clogged with leaves and grass. I go out about every 4 hours and open them up. Anyway, stay safe we will see what tomorrow brings.

Y'all stay safe Jim. We escaped the storm over here. Actually lowered our humidity and gave us a really nice day, except for the wind. Not strong winds, but windy.

6.7 inches of rain in under 12 hours. Really from about 1 until midnight. We'll see what we have tomorrow. But at least it's cooler. About 78 right now.

Depending on rain tomorrow, my final total for hurricane Debby is right at 13 inches of rain.

Just rain here. Our total was about 8 inches. We never did get much wind and we are thankful for that.

Cloudy all day but no rain. Or at least not at my house. There was some light rain in other parts of town. Supposed to be cloudy through the weekend. Got up to low to mid 80s.
