Jim, you may move this if not in the proper spot.
Folks, could ya'll have a look around your junk piles, junk dealers etc. in yer area...
Those that come to my forum know that on Fri. 13th. I blew my tiller engine.
here's a picture of the ol' brute. She's about 40 years old

The motor that was on it originally was a Tecumseh 8 h.p. (1977)
the motor that blew on me...
8 h.p. Horizontal shaft Briggs and Stratton
MODEL
190402

TYPE
1650-01

CODE
77083119

Now, I can purchase a new motor, but it may look outa place:

but it'll be like strappin' a jet engine on a crop duster :laughmao:

Looks like the shipping would be bout 60 bucks for a new one, coming from Ca.
I have found a few 8 h.p. motors around here, but this is snowblower country and snowblowers don't have air cleaners...so additional parts would be needed.
Thanx Pholks

We will keep our eyes open for you, Phil! :Watching:

It's tough when your work horses quit on ya, isn't it? So sorry that it is down right now, but hopefully, you will be back tilling gardens in no time.

 If you end up having to buy the new one, you could paint the rest of the tiller to match or scuff up the new until it looks worn out, too!

We will see what we can find around this area...

This is just as good a place as any.

There's a guy that works at the plant with me that takes old lawn mowers, tillers, and just about anything with a small engine and makes something that works out of the parts.  I'll check with him to see if he has anything.

Also there is a small engine shop right on my way home from work and they have mowers, tillers, weed eaters, even some small lawn tractors.  I'll stop in there and see what they have and let you know.  PM me your landline number and I'll call ya to let you know what they say.  It'll be next week sometime.
