Over ripe, maybe? (Or did they get real wet when the sun was beating on them?)

Are you sure they are not just changing colors, as some do when they ripen? What is the type of pepper?

They turn red to ripen... They are super Chillies.. I am not sure I have never seen any marks like this on them before... But it has been raining and then the strong sun will come out so maybe it is from that

Rita, here is a good site that covers disorders, pests, and diseases of chiles. It has a lot of information in it about what the fruit look like when affected...

Hope this helps...

nice looking plant.

The more you stress the plant the hotter the pepper or at least that's what I've read.

Phil! :Whack:

Of course, I am correct. If I am wrong, it is the site link's fault! :Halo: I google everything to try to help... :grinnnn:

I haven't tried to grow the "hot" peppers, but my banana peppers looked like that a time or two, the year that we planted them....

Is there any way to keep the peppers from getting like that, Phil? I admit that I didn't read the whole article... :dummy:

Now me has a headache!:D

I don't know anyway to prevent it, and ifin I didn't have head trauma, :Shiner: I could recollect the proper term for the discoloration :laughpound:
but really, it's not a factor in quality or taste....  :grinnnn:
