Thanks Tina....i kind of like it too, so its good to know the name.

I just googled white bottlebrush shrub.
-
Mike had said it looked like bottlebrush, but I was associating bottlebrush with the one I had, and the ones I saw in Hawaii...

it looks just like a bottle brush doesn't it.
-
Oh i really like the red too, that would be so nice side by side.
-
The red is NOT hardy...even in zone 8...I learned the hard way. :(
I have heard there is another type of red that is, though...
-
Yes, I have red bottle brush blooming here. Big ones and I've planted small ones the last couple of years. I am on the cusp of zone 8 with my elevation, Sarah.
I figured if I googled up a white one something similar to your pic would show up.
-
Thats too bad, but the red and white would be such a nice color contrast.
-
I think I'm more high end of zone 7, honestly...I loose a lot of plants rated zone 8. :thpullhairout:
Penny, the white alone was pretty stunning....
-
Mine look a little like this and the leaves have a lemon scent. They are lemon bottle brush, Callistemon pallidus, zone 9-11
-
Its the hint of green that i think makes it so nice....does that stay i wonder?
