Looks like we filled that last one up.
We got some rain last night. Looks like about .28. At least it wasn't snow. Talked to Dad and Mom in Tennessee and they were expecting snow this morning. The temp was 38° when we were talking last night.
It's about 50° today and that's about as high as it is supposed to get with cloudy skies.
-
Sunny and 31°F, no wind, yet. We did have some light rain then sleet and snow yesterday, enough to make it somewhat white.
-
It's been snowing all day here and 34°, atm.
-
It's supposed to get down to 32° tonight all the way to the coast. VERY unusual for for this time of year. We don't normally get these kind of temps until January or February. Who knows, maybe this will be the year we get some snow down here. We are overdue. History dictates approx. every 10 years we get some snow. It's been well over that.
-
It was almost 65° 2 days before. LOL
-
it's 38 right now... brrrrr i'm cold.
-
Cold and snowing.
-
it's 32° right now and I don't plan on going out the door until it warms up some.. lol
-
Chilly 28°F, about half inch or so of snow, windy, some blowing snow.
-
Woke to about 40* and it looks like it won't do a lot better today. It is damp out and rain is on it's way.
-
We got down to 30° last night. At about 1:00AM it was 34° so I went out and plugged in the pool pump so it wouldn't freeze. It's partly cloudy today with a slight breeze. Was 45° last time I checked.
-
they say we got down to around 32 give or take. it got up to 50 today, but couldn't prove that by me. i've been cold all day...
-
Sunny and clear, 27°F, wind is howling and quite cold.
So far today, low 26, high 30. We are much colder then what the news says.
-
they say we got down to around 32 give or take. it got up to 50 today, but couldn't prove that by me. i've been cold all day...
This was and exact match to our weather today (and my opinion of it. lol)
-
they say we got up to 53. but is already down to 46. more like what it feels like.
-
Cold....with no end in sight. I guess it is December so it is expected.
-
23°F, temp wise not bad, but the wind is even more brutal now, wind chill could go down to -10°F overnight, nothing compared what it could do around here, recorded a -45°F wind chill years and years ago, long before they changed the wind chill formula.
-
Cold and snowing here.,
-
Clear and cold, 16°F with a wind chill around 0 +/-
-
Didn't get quite as cold last night. The low was 37° and it's 47° now. We are supposed to worm up a bit till midweek so I guess I can unplug the pool pump for a few days.
-
Wet and cold. 42* and not improving with age.
-
Clear, 19°F and falling, wind died down some.
-
Cool and snowing lightly here.
-
I'm cold! :freezin:
Mostly cloudy this morning with showers developing this afternoon. High 58°F. Winds ENE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%... :razberry:
-
Sunny, 19°F just before 9:30, wind has died down a lot.
-
Snowing here. Blizzard watches and warnings.
-
Will you go home early if it really gets started, Jess?
-
It is actually getting pretty bad right now. Think I will head out soon. We have 2 offices and I split my time between them. Today I am at the one that is quite a bit further away from my house. Figures. This one is 40 miles from my house and the other is only 5 miles.
-
Cold, snowing and blustery here,
-
well, they predicted 2-4" overnight. We have about a foot and its still coming. Supposed to change to a 'wintry mix' aka sleet n freezing rain later this morning.
blech
-
This is unreal. It is 72° this morning. High to be mid to upper 70s. Then tonight's low is supposed to be around 50 with tomorrow's high mid to high 50s. Oh so many people are going to be sick.
-
We had .36 inch of rain yesterday and the temp today is about 67°. My weather radio just went off with a severe thunderstorm warning for one of the neighboring counties. We are also under a tornado warning till 10AM. It looks like we are going to have some nasty weather the first part of the day then clear out later on.
I think our weather is supposed to be the same as yours Barb. 70°s today and then 30°s on Saturday morning.
-
Clear and 14°F, no wind.
-
Yup we have a line of storms coming in right now. No watches or warnings though.
-
8*. Can someone point me to the complaint department? :freezin: :freezin: :freezin: :freezin: :freezin: :freezin:

This would be true.

Actually the last day for complaints on the weather was yesterday. The department reopens the second Tuesday of next week.
-
No complaints here. Tonight is a little warmer than last night. So when I go out to my van in the morning jockeying hands full of things around so I can get my key in the door and I set my coffee on the roof it won't slide off again.
-
Its cold and blustery here.
-
Our high today is supposed to be 50° and then tonight get to 28°. :freezin: Tomorrow's high is supposed to be 47° with a low Saturday morning of 30°. Looks like we are in for a few cool mornings.
-
Jims lows sound like my highs!
We have 100% chance of snow changing to a mix then all sleet tonight. Geest, tomorrow morning is going to be an ice skating rink out there!
-
Light freezing rain this morning, still in the upper 20's now with a mix of clearing and clouds, slicker than anything out there, highs warming to the lower 50's later this week, gonna feel sorta like summer if it does.
-
34°F, about an inch of snow, becoming slush. Just glad were finally getting above freezing, today should be last day of anything frozen.
-
It's warmed back up here a bit. The low yesterday was 39°. We are supposed to have a few more warm days and then back to the lows in the 20s. We definitely don't need any more rain. We've got about 2.83 inches this month and that is more than enough to have water standing in all the low spots. Supposed to get more rain tonight and then start clearing tomorrow.
-
We received a little over 5 inches last week. All of my ditch-work paid off.
-
It's so damp around here and we're expecting more rain.
-
Same here, Sheri. I am so tired of being cold... :freezin:
-
The sun has set, though it was never seen today. It is currentyly 72 and very very damp.
-
60 and wet. yucky. blah.
-
Cold and snowing lightly here.,
-
Cold, blustery and -16 with the windchill.
-
Cold, blustery and -16 with the windchill.
Mine is pretty much the same.
-
It's going to be in the 60's today and thankfully it's not raining right now.
-
It's going to be in the 60's today and thankfully it's not raining right now.
I will be there soon with my beach towel in hand. :giggle:
Penny, I saw your conversion in the lounge. Our wind chill is -16 F. :freezin:
-
How do I find out how much rain we've had this year?
-
I would try weather.com.
-
http://www.srh.noaa.gov/rfcshare/precip_analysis_new.php (http://www.srh.noaa.gov/rfcshare/precip_analysis_new.php)
Try that, Sheri.

This is your state.
-
Thanks. We've had a lot of rain.
-
My newspaper breaks the rainfall down even closer to areas. Sometimes I can get twice as much rain on my side of the canyon than they got on the other side, 2 miles away. Or the other way around.
Our weather season begins July 1st and ends end of June. The lowest rainfall year ever recorded was a touch over 4 inches for the whole year. And that was only a few years ago. Last week alone we got over 5 inches. That is the beginning of a very good year.
-
We were in a drought for 5 years. Now we've made up for it in 1 year. Be nice if it could even out.
-
Yes we are in drought conditions more often than not. I am really looking forward to this wet year for the most part. .
-
Cold and snowing here.
-
Definitely cool here this morning. 27° was our low and that's what I woke to. We are supposed to reach 50° today though. I guess winter is here because they are predicting snow in the north western portion of South Carolina for tonight and tomorrow.
-
Brrr...
They are saying we are supposed to get up to mid 70's today. I will see if it reaches that. The winds warm up the valleys but tend to keep us cooler in the canyon.
-
31°. What a change from yesterday!!
-
I don't post in here every day because this is what I will write.....cold. :giggle:
-
-20 here but its not snowing!
-
Our weather today:
Today: Rain. High 49F. Winds NE at 10 to 20 mph. 1 to 2 inches of rain expected. Locally heavier rainfall possible.
Tonight: Cloudy with a drenching rain ending overnight. Low 37F. Winds N at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall may reach one inch.
My sister's weather:
Today: A few showers early becoming a steady rain for the afternoon. Some sleet may mix in. Temps nearly steady in the mid 30s. Winds NE at 10 to 20 mph. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch.
Tonight: Windy with periods of rain and snow. Some sleet may mix in. Low 33F. Winds NNE at 15 to 25 mph.
I am glad that the weather gets better for her traveling coming this way. I will worry once she starts home... :wink5:
-
it's sleeting here. Our new driveway is straight up. Riding up our driveway is like being in an airplane when it first takes off and you have to put your head back on the headrest. That's exactly what my driveway is like now.
-
Ugh. It got to 67 by 9 a.m. today. But it turned quick. By 2 p.m. it had dropped to 50. It's 49 now at 3:30. Gonna be cold this weekend.
-
And it was approaching 80 here today. But it looked a little like a rain possibility on Mon-Tues.
-
Wet, wet, and more wet. We are saturated here... ::)
Why is it always feast or famine? There is never a middle ground, is there? :giggle:
-
About 27° with about 3-4 inches of snow...
-
32 Degrees and 12 inches of snow. Shadow won't go outside but he likes me to open the door so he can sniff the snow. Bet you know how often I do that lol.
-
36° here and sunny.
-
It's currently 46° and sunny here. It was 32° when I got up at 7 a.m.
-
Currently -6 and snowing here.
-
Isn't today winter solstice? From here on out every day will become a little bit longer as the sun moves a little further north. There is much to look forward to.
Today will remain cooler than it has been but we are not expecting rain.
-
We are to have a hard freeze tonight freezing or below from 11 p.m to 7 a.m. My Son in law is on his way over to drape a tarp over my well and filtering equipment and hang a light to keep things from freezing.
-
Tonight: Mainly clear. Low around 30F. Winds light and variable.
It's cold outside! :freezin:
Yes, Tina. Today is the start of Winter Solstice... :freezin:
-
And I am looking forward to the days getting longer. I don't like that its dark when I go to work and dark when I get home.
-
Cold here, -19 with the windchill and snowing
-
-16 here and blustery

-
A cold wind is blowing. Everything is relative. Cold to me is 46 right now.

Here is what we are in for....
.. Winter Storm Warning now in effect from 9 PM this evening to
6 am CST Saturday...
The Winter Storm Warning is now in effect from 9 PM this evening
to 6 am CST Saturday.
* Timing... snow will begin late this afternoon into early this
evening... with accumulating snow most likely after 9 PM tonight.
The snow will continue through Friday night. Some sleet is also
possible from late Wednesday night into Thursday
afternoon... mainly in east central Minnesota and western
Wisconsin.
* Accumulations... significant amounts of snow will occur with
periods of heavy snow likely as the storm intensifies Thursday
afternoon into Friday. Snow amounts by Thursday morning of two
to five inches are expected. Total snowfall accumulations by
Saturday morning will likely exceed one foot in many
areas... with scattered totals in excess of 20 inches probable.
This event may become comparable to the Halloween snow storm of
1991.
* Surface visibility will be reduced as the event continues due to
increasing wind speeds and blowing snow... mainly in open rural
areas.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
-
Stay safe, Jessica.
-
You aren't planning on doing any traveling, are you, Jessica? :scaredy:
If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
I would add blankets and sleeping bags to that list. And kitty litter and/or sand for traction in case you get stuck... :wink5:
-
We are waiting to see what happens. We would like to go to my parent's tomorrow (we always go there Christmas Eve) but they live 20 miles away so we will have to see. If we go, we will go earlier in the day than normal before it gets too bad and definitely be home before dark. Then on Christmas afternoon, we typically head to James' parent's which is 15 miles away. We are not sure if we will make it to anything. It is just a waiting game at this point. We always keep warm clothes in the car. Kitty litter is a good idea though. We do have 4WD but that doesn't always get you out of a ditch.
-
All of you be safe!. We are sitting at 62 right now. Got up to 68 today. Got rain and wind coming in tomorrow and up to 68 predicted. Rain should be out before dawn on Christmas day, then it's supposed to be cold again.
-
That's about the same forecast that they are saying for us. I think the temps are a bit lower though. Maybe the mid 50s and then back down below freezing on Sunday morning. I have had the pool pump on the timer for the last week. Looks like I can give it a rest after tonight.
