I finished off the last one. So here is another.

Clouded up this afternoon. Scattered thunderstorms, though none over me. Under sever thunderstorm watch/warnings. All this has brought the temp done to 82/95. Much cooler than at lunch..

We got rain overnight, but its still hot and humid.

97 with a heat index of 115 right now. We are supposed to get to 100 today and tomorrow. They are saying 40% chance of rain on Saturday and it is supposed to cool down a bit then too.

89.9 with heat index of 103. Was predicted to be 99 today but it got overcast early so kept temps down some. Nasty storms coming up from the gulf. Should get here around 5 if they don't break up first.

73 and have my room AC in, room is 70, not much difference, but didn't have AC in would be a lot warmer in here.

I'd be freezing. My a/c is set at 77 and I still get cold. Must run it though or I can't breathe for the humidity. The a/c takes the moisture out of the air.

Its muggy. Can't breathe kind of muggy. Hoping that will get better once the sun is fully up. It is 73 with 93% humidity. More storms coming through today.

We actually got rain drops. Not enough to wet the ground under the trees. But rain is rain. I'll take it.

It stormed here from about 9 a.m. until around 3ish. Glad I didn't leave work at lunch today. Actually helped me make that decision. lol

No rain on me today. Stormed close to us, even started getting some of the wind while at dr. But never did make it here. First time in some time. Today's high was 95/119 at around noon. It is currently overcast and 82/95

My last post was at 5:50 am, never made it out of the mid 70's all night, that east wind is the culprit.
Now just about 11:30, sunny, 85, east wind up to 15 mph.

About 1:25 pm. 81* and rising still. Humidity 42% and dropping. No wind to speak of.

Looks like my last post was our high today. Had a storm come through shortly after that which lasted approx. an hour. Looks like we have another one fixin' to come through now.

Too hot for me, sure glad its not something that sticks around for days and days or weeks, cooling off Monday or Tuesday.

Today in the California desert topped out at 86*. Humidity is 36%.
We will get the heat beginning on Monday, I think. I actually should have worked outdoors today more while I had the chance.

Just had a small rain shower that lowered the temp considerably. We had got up to 89 but sitting at 78 now after .17 inches of rain. Good thing we mowed yesterday, because it would be too wet today!

Portland metro area seen record heat, most areas near or above 100, it was 102 in Portland, 103 in Vancouver. Cooler today, but still hot.

Our week is forecast to be typical of our summer. Hot most of the day with afternoon thunderstorms. I think it's 60% chance of rain for the next three days, then down to 40% before going back up to 60% on Friday. I won't get anything done outside if that is the case.

All this rain has kept it cool. The pool water is down to about 82 and that's a bit cool when it's only 80 outside. We had almost another inch of rain yesterday which puts our monthly total at about 3.88 inches so far. By the time it dries up enough for me to mow again, I'll probably have to use the bushhog. I'm afraid the regular mowers just won't get through it.
We've only had 7 days this month that it hasn't rained. I think we are past the drought even though they are still saying we are in one.
77 out there right now which is quite cool for August. Humidity is at 85% though so the air feels heavy.

9:30 on an August morning and it has yet to reach 70*. I'll take it.

Jim,yor rain sounds like ours only our monthly total is moe like 9 to14 inches depending on where you are. And now we got a Isaac coming. they did finally take us out of drought officially.

I drove to San Diego once when it was raining on the northbound side of the four lane highway but not the southbound. It was funny.
It is after 1 pm and still only 82*.

Currently it's 90° with a heat index of 97° -- Hot.
As of the lastest updates, they have Isaac coming in right on top of us as a Cat 2 storm next Tues. Still more than enough time for things to change, but its not looking good.

I was hearing that it was going to be between Pensacola and Panama City. Now they are saying it is taking aim at New Orleans.
We finally had 2 days this month without any rain. Up until that point we had only had 7 days without any rain and had a string of 8 in a row before Saturday. We finally got the grass mowed on Sunday. Took about 6 hours and the yard looks like a hay field. I may have to use the yard sweeper on it and then pick up the piles of cut grass before its done.

Yup, headed for N.O. It's kinda breezy and overcast right now. They say we will get 45 mph w/gusts to 55 and a ton of rain. Most of Bay County will be closed down tomorrow (schools, gov. offices, etc.) But so far no word on us being closed. Probably wont either.

They are forecasting 60% today and tomorrow for us. It's raining in Sumter right now and rained a bit on me all the way to work. Looking at the radar it looks like it might be a slow steady rain at the house. The rain gauge only shows .02 and that was between 5 and 6 this morning. 77° with 99% humidity still feels muggy out.

I am sure you've gotten much more by now. The radar has been showing a big feeder band going across SC & GA. I on the other hand, haven't gotten any rain so far. It was wet this morning when I left but not raining. It's partly cloudy and quite windy. 91 with 101 heat index. very muggy. However, the bay & gulf is trying to come up into our streets.

It's been raining off and on all day. The gauge at the house is reporting .21 so far today. The radar shows rain over most of SC. We were mentioned on The Weather Channel in one of the recent reports. Something about the outer bands of rain lifting to blanket SC. We can deal with the rain, just don't want any of that wind.

I'm liking the cooler weather we are having too. The high today is supposed to be 65°. It's going to be cloudy most of the day with 39% chance of showers.
This cool weather will keep the grass from growing so fast as well.

Still too dry around these parts, may change end of this week, hopefully. Been around 3 months without rain, did have one day where it was just light rain for short time, but didn't help nothing.
