Title: The local grocery store is dangerous...
Post by: duh on Jul 15, 2009, 03:13:53 PM
...to my budget.  Everytime I go in there they have plants that I can't resist.  Today it was a pot of yellow mums in full bloom and something else.  I can't remember the name.  I'll go out side and steal the stake tomorrow and check the name.  What I know is that when the blooms are closed they look like rosebuds and when they are open they look like poppies and they come in white, pink and bluish/lavender.

I tried buying some bulbs at walmart.  They were all dead when I got them home.  I'm going to walmart less and less.  It's kind of like Roses.  Unless it is inanimate and without moving parts i can't trust walmart or Roses.

And your right any place with plants is a danger zone.  But I have to get groceries about once a week.  So I am starting to know that I might as well set aside someof the food budget for flowers.
