While I was floundering around trying to fix the camera problem I ran into about a gazillion zip files. Now am I right in thinking that after you unzip a file you end up with two of them? One with a ".zip" extension and then the one that the computer will actually use?
And if that is true can I delete the ones with the "zip" extension without causing any problems with the computer?

You can delete the ones with the zip extension without causing any problems, but I would suggest not doing that until after you have used/tested/installed the file extracted from the zip file.
I personally don't get rid of them as they can be used again if something should corrupt the file or program obtained from the zip file. But if you are limited on hard drive space, it would make sense to delete them once you are done whit them.

You can save some space by deleting the zip files. As Barb said though you may need those again some day so it's a good idea to keep them on a backup CD or something like that.

Thanks Jim. Mostly they are additional fonts that I've found for free on the internet.

Those would be safe to delete, other then that, be mighty careful.
