:Glee: The snow has left and spring only weeks away an now it seems I have a group with like interest here. Anyone close to north cal.,or near Reno, nev?
Always go alone or with freinds, whom are now moved away.
If anyone is planning such an adventure,...hollar over. I'm not set on what kind, that part is up for hints. :freezin:

Used to live in Sacramento, but in Washington now. Reno can be a lot of fun though.
-
I'm ready for a hunt, but thats a little to far for me. Keep us informed.
-
web cam an phone video, there the new play toys of us oldies but goodies. :giggle:
this is why wanted mini-moble-netbook,make things part of the world only personal :banana02:,

:beer3: Had some friends over for supper the other nite and over cheri cobbler an coffee we took a look at the maps,Jim,suggested from our local forestry(old/new),along with our local musuem, found information I have been busy working on;of any hauntings in this area in which I live. Even found out locations for other graveyards I was not aware of here in northern Ca.
Ghost hauntings, though few, were in museum archives, I was suprised! This kind of research is new,for me anyway. So I have done some looking into the guidelines(suggested here)and it was very helpful. A new breif case was in order, for this new hobbie(never had the urge to do more than for my own personal intrest) but here I am on this site of other simular minded folks like myself.
Long story short as long as the weather is good,we are going out for a day drive(late/April)to decide on hows and wheres,so I can do this scientificly(along with the joy of doing it)an adding to my research interest studies.
If all comes together in the right order, than I may get the chance to record my first ghost haunt
Nothing high tech,but a hopeful sighting? :good2:

Sounds great. Let us know how it goes.

hay u
ya, I am gettin kinda the cabin fever effect happening so I will be happy to get out and about after a extra cold winter. We do alot of camping anyway, but my hiking is limited,so 4 wheelers to take up the slack, looking forward to doing something with my given talents thanks to your insight.
-
Looking forward to hearing about all you find!

:tapfoot1: :freezin: Still waitin for Jack Frost to go to bed. He seems to be enjoying trying to make us beleive that the next Ice age has come upon us.
I have five bucks riding on facebook that our little/no snow day town, is about to claim one tomarrow. :gahh:
The map is laid out, and trails have been planned, but alas no fun, :waiting:
till we can at least go out the door without becoming popcicle people.
So my hunts are rolled paper till further notice.
-
:hobbyhorse: Havin the the sun finally stay :tapfoot1: I am going to take the chance next week,to go for a ride with some freinds of ours and check out some of the old ruins and history of my area.
This area is really great with history and I am lucky enough to have a guide, whom was not only raised here, but was forestry and comes from a long line of railroad workers. So we are going to map out the trail and locations of possible ghosts from traumas/an-or/those whom simply chose to stay behind after leaving this world. I would like to match this event with history of our area so, to make sure my visions are correct(my being out of scope for awhile) I will have both my library friend an guide know the details, and myself informed only of map and basic history.
So it looks like step by step my adventure is falling into its place. Spring hunt :banana02:

Sounds very exciting!

Merged all 4 of your topics about your spring hunt. We like to keep things tidy around here sometimes. It also takes up less space that way.

Got out the tents for airing, bug spray-n-excess,ordered hiking boots for the kids, even let Pop talk me into one of those sleeping bags for two,the kids have the ones bought last year, and doggy has plenty of sweaters. Almost ready, just need to finish precooked preps, that makes it much easier with the kids(always hungry)

:SmileyFit: Once again,camping/hunt is put back on the back burner. They say we are to get a foot of snow,at least so been re-dated for June 1st,thats only a few weeks, better than freezing outside.I like my bones nice and warm, wood stove...burn baby burn,so until then spring hunt now to be a summer one :waiting:
-
My mercy, when do ya'll get spring.
-
In all fairness, California, north and south, is setting cold records for May.
-
:gahh: This year we are 150 percent,no drought here, and the cold...spring consisted of,so far: cold wet and yet more cold. But good news...maybe try not to hope to high, but sun on the way, knock on wood, the weather man says no more cold for the month of May,80's by next week!!!! One can only keep digging in the mud and hope it starts to dry out. At least the ground is thawed enough to keep me in the garden! Trip still on,going for three or four days first week June. At least the cooking is done and ready, tents and bags refreashed and done too. :good2:
