That is so cool.  DId you see how it looked like a person would if they were swimming hte breast stroke, you could actually see the arms moving like that.

I saw that too, looked like the ""thingy"" was swimming, i found it fascinating too that the one man said it used to be an Indian Reservation years ago.

I saw that too.  It was very neat to watch and I would have been fascinated to see it as well.

That is very interesting, Penny.  Somehow I don't think of spirits as bright blue, though!  :laughmao:

I wonder what it is.  My first thought was that it may be a piece of blue bag, like a walmart bag, that is floating around.  It seems that the object moves fluidly but the camera does not take continuous video, but every other second or something.  I'd have expected it to be a little more jumpy, unless it's moving exceptionally slow. . .

That was sooooo neat looking! I would love to be there to see it in person. I wonder if it can be seen with the naked eye?

~My thinking is that it can be seen, at the beginning of the tape, the people in the store seem nervous about it, and how else would they have seen it, its not like customers can see the surviellence tapes??
Title: Re: Have a Look at This

Well, it did look like they had a moniter set up on a counter for customers to view the tape at.  At least, that is what I was thinking...

Hmmm...ya you're right Sarah, there is a monitor there for them to see.

During one part of the segment, a man is walking in to pay for his gas and the oddity is floating around out there. If it were there when I were, I would be standing there looking at it and taking pics....

Wonder if it could be fumes from the gas, but I would expect that to be black, that is causing the color blue? The wind whistling in could cause fumes to move around or the lack of air movement could cause it to be still and just hang in the air.

Very interesting. I wish the gas station were near here!

And how it looked like it went and sat on one persons car, hmmm...good point on the fumes, dunno.

But when you see gas fumes, they teed to be opaique.  I guess the station lights could have been making it look blue but no cars were driving through at the time to make the gas move or anything.   It seemed to be purposeful in its movement.

Apparently somebody IS standing there taking pics (w/their cam on the "movie" setting), or we wouldn't be seeing the customers & the owner/clerk & the monitor.

Under those fluorescent lights in the pump bay, it's my guess that a certain density of moisture... or even gas fumes that are circulating in the air, could be absorbing/reflecting the blue color within the light spectrum. (Sorta like what makes rainbows, but I can't imagine why it's only blue!) :dunno:

Pretty weird though! Thanx, Penny._(https://www.southernspirithunters.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi75.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fi309%2Fgottahavegraphics%2FSmileyOk.gif&hash=f7773c70aa8c89b6918998cf943ee9022cc2ce8a)

Patty, the movie is taken by the store's security camera.

I don't see anyone just standing out there in the film looking at it, as I would be doing if I suspected a ghost... ;)

The gas station that we go to has a camera in a similar location, so that the Pumps can be seen and who's coming and going.

Geesh, it's neat, but it's kinda weird looking too! :ScratchHead:  I know that fluorescent lights can give some strange effects to a lot of things.   :scaredy:

I was wishing the same thing, Rita, but I thought maybe it was just my monitor.  :dunno:

I am thinking something could be causing a reflection from a street light or neon sign.

Cool video Penny.  It appears to be some sort of mist that has an apparent defined shape.  As some of you mentioned, it appears to be swimming or swooping if they were wings.

It's hard to capture the detail when you are watching a video of a video even though the clarity of the news camera appears to be pretty good.

I have no idea what it could be.  It would be interesting to investigate if it were closer.  I may have to wander over to some of the Ohio ghost sites and see if they are talking about it.

It definitely looks like a reflection on the car windshield but I have no explanation for how it just lifts up and then whisk away.

I wasn't thinking, but if there were no vehicles there, gas fumes would be clear. They would only be black, I think, if they were being burned...

Maybe the lights around the station are tinting the fumes blue?

I am still thinking reflection. Take a look at the reflection on the lady reporters pants legs when she is outside. The wind appears to be blowing making the reflection on her pants dance. Although it isn't blue I'm thinking that the wind could be blowing causing a the reflection to move. Same as with the ghost.

Good point Bonnie, but when i look at the reporters pants, it seems to me that the tape is in 3 second delay, and it looks like her pants only move when she does?
I would LOOOOVE to go and check that out!!!

That's sorta what I mean. Whatever is causing the reflection, for instance a hanging sign or light could be moving when the wind blows causing the light to be moving. I not totally convinced of this it's just a theory.

Ok, I've looked at this video one frame at a time, enlarged it and here is my opinion.  Keep in mind it is just an opinion.

Security cameras normally don't autofocus.  They are manually focused when installed.  Anything coming too close to the camera to be within the focal plane would appear fuzzy and out of focus.  The closer to the camera it gets the more out of focus it becomes.

The blue color could have come from the light source indicated by the arrow in the photo as it appears to be very close to the blue of the "ghost".  The Marathon sign is a distinctive blue also.

(https://www.southernspirithunters.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi88.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fk180%2FJimBaby%2Fgasstation.png&hash=03a7f91122a42784beb3894aeca8f0e498543d38)

It might be as simple as a moth or some other bug.

Then again...it sure makes for some interesting news and I bet the Marathon station there is getting way more business that the surrounding stations.

Well, I could see this video much clearer on the larger monitor at school, but it still didn't give me any clues,  just a better picture than I could see last night at home.  ;)

Well, I'm kinda leaning about this possibly being some sort of reflection of a blue light from somewhere, but I'm only guessing.   :ScratchHead:

The last 'flight' had a definite folded wing look. like a bird or Angel like wing. Not that Ive seen an angel wing but in art theyre shown to fold in

With the movement I can't see it being a car or a person.. How about a bird or something of the sort..A lunar moth? They are green in color..
The only thing I don't understand is that it stood right in front of the camera for 30 mins!

I know, thats what confuses me too, and the movement, very odd indeed!!

How about something right on the camera lens? The focus is set for far away. Something near or on the lens could be very out of focus. It rests there then flies away? Just a thought. It didn't look like any bug I've ever seen.

I watched the video over, over, and over again, and have come to terms that this paranormal activity, this just my opinion. To me the activity seems to be playing hide and seek. seeing the guy walking in with the ghost on the windshield after, the guy is in the store the ghost lifts up and is gone, I would think there would have to be cars getting gas or running to cause fumes.

:Wow:   that was cool!  kinda makes ya start beliving in fairys
:ScratchHead:  i never seen a reflection move like that,  notice the reflection on the ladys pants stays at the bottom. usaly reflections stay in one spot or dart back n forth in a fast stright line,
i think if were a bug it woulda had to been one shiny bug to get a reflection like that,
i dont think it was a bug its self getting to close to the camara,  notice no out line of a bug, except for the wings thing,
we have camaras at work everywere, when a bug gets on em or to close you can usaly see a outline of its leggs, head or hair in the blury view,  with my dial up the video plays frezzes loads plays freezes loads plays ect ect,  n i couldnt see any outline of a bug in it
you can right click on the video n zoom in

Thats the part that stumped me too Jarod, is that there arent any cars running, or not long enough to make fumes that we could see.

Geesh, this is really eerie that this topic has resurfaced because I was just telling Patty about a week ago that this other group I belong to had some interesting information on this. ;)  Apparently, there are a lot of people who were speculating or suggesting this may perhaps be the ghost or spirit of Ramona Wilczewski (not sure about the spelling) who was murdered almost five years ago.  :yikes:  Of course, it appears that a lot of the information was gathered at a class reunion from some former classmates of hers more than 35 years ago.  :dunno:  Hmmm, I'm wondering what other "spirits" they had at the reunion!  :ScratchHead:  Actually, I find it interesting that the subject just came up a little over a week ago at the meeting and now it's being resurrected here at SSH.  Do you think there's some synchronicity going on here?   :SmileyQmarks:  Geesh, I have to admit, it's really got me wondering now!

I had to wait until I got to school to see this because it wouldn't load on my computer with dial-up either.  :SmileyFit:  Dianna, I agree this seems to be the best explaination so far and it seems to make perfectly good sense, especially  with the explanations and examples.  ;)  Thanks so much for posting this!  :thx:  I can't wait to share this with the Parapsychology students.   :yesssss:
