Glenda is an orange Tabby with FIV. She is 8 years old and just wonderful. We went for a car ride yesterday and we got a halter and leash so she can sit outside and watch the birds when I'm out there with her.
-
Very cool of you, Tammy. And very nice for her. A friend is a good thing to have nearby.
-
That is nice.
-
You should see her go nuts when I'm on the phone. She thinks she should be the center of attention all the time, lol.
-
hahahaha
-
It got out of hand yesterday. I had to put down the phone and shut her in the laundryroom where her potty and food are. How crazy is that? She was biting and kicking.
-
hahahaha. You have a toddler on your hands.
-
She is getting better about the phone but I have to limit the time I spend on a phone call.
She is adorable in the morning wanting to run and play. But I need to make a permanent scratching post. Those cardboard ones are ridiculous.
I'm trying to teach her to stand up and dance for her treats. Right now she just stretches up and grabs my hand so she can get her treat. Smart cat.

Well I pick up Glenda at the vets at 5:30p.m. She had her teeth extracted.
I bug bombed the house while she was away and now it's time to vacuum everything in sight. So much fun. Evidently we are having a bumper crop of fleas this year.
-
What teeth? How many? Poor kitty.
-
all of her teeth the vet thought that was best. She was still groggy at closing time so she is spending the night there. I'll pick her up about 9:00a.m. tomorrow. I could use the rest too. She didn't like fasting. She laid on a guilt trip like you wouldn't believe. She is very good at it as a matter of fact.
-
Oh, poor baby. I also feel for you with a fast. It is hard to starve an animal.
-
Yes it is, especially since I love to eat and so sympathize. You don't know how many times I wanted to cheat and give her something.
Pills were a real chore. She did not want to eat them. I had to lay her on her back and put them on the back of her tongue. She didn't spit them out so I'll say she managed without to much trouble. But I'm probably glad that her teeth were gone when I did it.
-
Yes, I would be too.
-
Glenda is doing much better. She is eating well and has started playing again. She loves the peacock feather christmas wrapping on one of the packages. I'm glad it is a book or it would never survive her hit and runs.
-
I am glad she is feeling better. I know that makes you feel better as well.
-
Yes it does. She is such a great cat, i hate to see her under the weather.
-
I have to agree with Lillian Jackson Braun, "cat choose the best seats in the house." Today Glenda was laying on top of the heating pad that I use for my very cold feet at night. And she wasn't sharing. I love that cat.

:grinnnn:

Glenda has decided that she wants to go to ear doctor school. The other day she walked up my body so she could check out my ears. I guess they were ok since I didn't get the lick treatment.

:)

Sandy took glenda back because she got an upper respiratory infection. i won't be having any more pets. it's just to hard.
-
I'm sorry, Tammy. But I know what you mean as=bout about pets being too hard. I get tired just thinking about it.
-
i'm sorry tammy. you are right about it being hard. like tina, the thought is a tiring one
