New Topic opened.
We are supposed to get a few showers today and then the 7 day looks to be dry. We have had over 2 inches of rain this month which is not unusual at all. So far I don't think we are at a deficit for the year as far as rainfall goes.
-
Starting off in good shape then. I hope it continues to be a good year. Sometimes it seems it's not how much rain but how it comes down.
-
it has rained off and on the last couple of days, but today was dry and hot. and humid. and the skeeters were as big as quarters. i'm ready for fall, thank you very much.
-
Light rain at times, lower 50's, calm.
-
We have have a rare chance of rain on Tuesday, I think. I would like that.
-
Sunny, warmed into the 60's, calm.
Been rainy and cool for few days, one of those days, not getting above lower 40's all day.
-
Sunny and warm today w/low humidity. Super nice. Cool this evening, about 60ish, again no/low humidity.
-
We have what they call May gray going on here. The days begin cool and foggy/cloudy but usually clear up by noonish to mid 70's.
Next month it will be called June gloom and is actually cooler usually until late in the month.
-
it's only 73 out there, and supposed to warm up to the mid 80s. i'll take it, it isn't totally sweltering. and since i don't plan to go out there.
-
It's been a beautiful weekend in SC. I'm off work today so it still is!
-
As it has been here, and is supposed to continue throughout the week.
-
very warm (upper 80's) and sunny for the foreseeable future.
-
High of low 80's today. Tomorrow we may have some rain. That would be very, very nice.
-
Light rain, lower 50's, breezy.
-
after a serious dry spell, we are having rain, rain, and more rain. much needed but it could be spread out just a bit more.
-
We are having rain. Jenn you have more rain coming. Our first tropical system (minor one) is coming through today. We won't get any winds, but a couple inches of rain. Just to the east of us is supposed to get 5 or more inches. And it is heading up your way.
-
73 and pouring.
-
rain has passed us by. Gone by mid morning.
-
Clear with passing high clouds, upper 60's, very light breeze at times.
-
The mornings in June begin cool and foggy, usually. It warms up in the afternoons and hangs through the evenings. I like June except I always wish for some rain to go with.
-
we are supposed to have severe storms all night tonight and tomorrow. we need the rain, but i'd like a bigger break from the heat/humidity with hit. it's still getting into the upper 80s.
-
Rain rain and more rain. But we need it.
-
We have June gloom. It is foggy/cloudy in the mornings then that burns off by afternoon. That makes for excellent working weather but during the week I am busy in the cool mornings. (whine)
-
Cloudy, upper 40's, calm.
-
72 and at the tail end of a severe thunderstorm.
-
86 and getting hotter. We've almost had 4 inches of rain this month already. We are supposed to get to the upper 90s later this week. I guess summer is here!
-
Hot & muggy. Supposed to be in the 90s here too. Guess so, it is 92 right now. Not including heat index.
-
:hot:
-
91 :hot:
-
Today's high was 92 with a heat index of 103. And probably 133 (or more) inside my car when I got in it to come home for lunch. Ugh.
-
It is 86* an still climbing. This was a good time for one of my coolers to die on me. I will call my friend to put in a new pump. I have the new pump all ready to go. I keep a spare around.
-
Glad you are prepared, Tina! I used a water cooler when I lived in Oregon. Worked great on the hottest days of the year. Wouldn't make a dent down here. Too muggy.
-
Today we are supposed to top out at 98°. No telling where the heat index will go. It was muggy this morning when I went out to go to work. No rain in the forecast today as that returns tomorrow or Friday.
-
Currently 94 w/heat index of 108.
-
Looks like it's 96° here with heat index of 103°. Humidity is just 42% so it's not quite as muggy feeling as it could be.
-
jim, y'all are running about where we are
-
Showery, lower 50's, calm.
-
Showery, around 50, calm.
-
94 w/heat index of 107 @ 1:35 p.m.
-
Sunny, around 80, breeze here and there.
Too warm for me, but braving it without AC going, it works, just braving the warmth. The new windows help keep house cooler.
-
91 w/index of 102. It is actually the high for today. Humidity is in the low 60s much lower than it has been. Has been cloudy most of the day, but the sun did finally come out.
-
i don't know the actual temps but today was much milder than yesterday.
-
Sunny, lower 70's, calm.
-
Hot and muggy with late afternoon thunderstorms. The norm for this time of year. But watching another tropical thing which could bring more rain to us and/or the east coast.
-
I was watching that east coast thing too. Possible hurricane C-something. Keep safe all.
Hot and dry here. I would love a little rain now and then.
-
Sure wish we could send you some of this rain Tina. My yard is looking pretty bad. We've had so much rain I can't get the tractor on it because of leaving ruts. The little John Deere is lighter but will leave ruts as well. We still had water standing in spots yesterday and get just enough to keep the ground soft every day it seems. We've had 5.31 inches of rain in July. I think it has rained a measurable amount in 14 of the last 15 days. I'm sick of rain!
Tropical Storm Chantal may even bring us more. It's a bit too soon to tell but looks like we will get some additional moisture even if it is only a tropical depression by the time it gets to us.
On a positive note, I guess all this rain is replenishing the ground water. Shouldn't have to worry about our well running dry and I haven't had to add any water to the pool this year!
-
Yes, even my local news is talking about the Chantal problems.
-
Need rain here also, so dry.
Lots of sun, a bit cooler this morning, guessing lower 60's.
-
Currency 93.5 w/heat index of 105. Talk about a hot ride home!! Who knows what the temp inside the car was.
-
The humidity makes me feel so icky and my hair is soooo big. The hummingbirds seem to love being in the rainforest.
-
Overcast, cloudy, muggy, but not unbearably hot. Will be getting rain at some point today or tomorrow - or both.
-
Sunny, upper 70's, light breeze at times.
Continues to be dry, no rain is sight, as far as I can tell.
-
Isn't that unusual for the Northwest?, Or is it not the 'rainy season' yet?
-
Sometimes wet, not sure if el nino or la nina is the cause.
-
Clear, around 50, calm.
-
We had 3 more inches of rain on Thursday night right after I completed mowing around the house. The rest is going to have to wait till it drys up for a few days and then I will have to put the bushhog on the tractor to cut it. My finishing mower won't go through it. If I had of left the part I mowed any longer I would have had to use the bushhog for it too.
It rained again last night.
-
Sunny, upper 80's, light breeze here and there.
-
Over 9 inches of rain so far this month. We are supposed to dry out this week. Only a 20-30% chance of rain each day. Might get to mow the entire yard by the weekend. The rain has kept our daily temps down several degrees lower than normal with the 90°+ returning this week.
-
Ah yes, we've had well over 20" of rain this month, and it is cloudy again today and will be tomorrow. Our rain chances drop to 20% or 30% come Wed., along with higher temps.
-
Becoming sunny after early morning thunderstorm (lightning, thunder, some light rain), now that the sun is out, the wetness is gone, moisture didn't solve the dryness.
-
Today's high was 98 w/heat index of 104. Sunny with scattered clouds (not rain clouds). I think this is the first day this month without a drop of rain.
-
It was *111 here yesterday!!
-
Sunny, low 70's, light breeze at times.
Not as warm today, it was cloudy this morning, puts a damper on warming too fast. Preferred it being cloudy.
-
Yesterday we got .35 inches of rain at the house and 35 miles away where I work, we got 4.5 inches in 2 hours.
-
Thats a lot of rain, to bad it couldn't be shared.
-
Well, someone was wrong. It started raining about an hour ago - a light rain - which has turned into a downpour and nasty thunderstorm. ditch and yard is flooded again.
-
And we are heating up here. Mid 90's today. Humidity is supposed to build for the weekend and I am hopeful for the chance of some rain.
The smoke from the fire east of me is shifting to my area today. It has been clear. But that also means the fire area may get some rain. That would be good.
-
we got half an inch of rain at the house yesterday afternoon, robert bough a rain guage  no idea how much today but we got some, there were puddles. and it felt like a sauna, all steamy.
-
Sunny, lower 70's, calm for the most part.
-
Yup. Drizzles off and on all say. Very steamy.
-
I saw raindrops this morning. I only felt one but I saw signs of more on the ground. I have some very high hopes.
-
Its raining again today - or maybe I should say "still" raining.
-
I am getting more rain drops. About 50% coverage in the open areas. Hoping for more.
-
Not so warm, cool and clouds stuck around till around 3 pm, its sunny and calm, temp lower 70's.
-
it's only 81* with 82% humidity. only a 60% chance of rain this afternoon. i'll take it. the 81* with cloud cover is much cooler than it has been and minimizes the steam effect, even with the humidity. of course, we have had so much rain that the entire area is under a flood warning until further notice. exact wording from noaa. until further notice. this is the wettest i've ever seen my yard, and my yard gets pretty wet.
-
Continues to be dry, sunny, lower 70's, light breeze at times.
-
miserable, hot, humid, can't decide if it is going to rain or not...
-
Ditto here.
-
Been awhile since someone posted.
Sunny, upper 70's, light breeze at times.
-
Rainy.
-
Welcome back, William.
I would be mighty tired of rain about now, Barb.
Todays high was about 85* and 22%, sunny. I can deal with that.
-
I am Tina. lol
-
We've had a few days in a row now without any rain. Hopefully we make it through today without any so I can use the sweeper on the back field and side yard tomorrow. It will be time to mow again on Sunday afternoon.
-
Sunny, around 55, calm.
-
Rain, rain, rain. Originally it wasn't supposed to start until tomorrow. Then this morning they moved it to late afternoon today, but it was pouring by 8:30 a.m.
-
it was supposed to rain today/tonight, and all through the week, but now they are saying not until tomorrow. i hope we only get a little bit. we are waterlogged.
-
So are we.
-
Us too! We got .52 on Monday night and about the same again last night. They are calling for lots more on Friday and Saturday. The rain may keep us from mowing again this weekend. We just got things looking back like we want them and the rain may set us back again. During this time of the year we have to mow every 7 days or the grass gets too big and we have to rake the clippings. We are supposed to cool down some in the next few days so hopefully that will slow the growth somewhat.
-
MUCH cooler than it has been, it's only 71 and it is gloomy but not raining. i'll take it!
-
Still hot and muggy here with scattered storms/showers.
-
Clouds breaking up, low 60's, calm.
-
The bottom is fixin' to fall out of a big black cloud. I'm gonna get wet going back to work.
-
it was raining with the sun shining earlier, but is not now. now it is cloudy and getting ready to storm. and 89 degrees :hot:
-
Just a bit of sprinkling today, right when I was going back to work from lunch. Go figure. Currently partly sunny, mostly cloudy.
-
Sunny, lower 80's, breezy at times.
-
The second thunderstorm of the day just rolled through. Evidently, the one earlier today produced a water spout out by the base. Hot and muggy (outside).
-
Cloudy, lower 60's, calm.
-
Hot but the humidity has come down a smidgeon.
-
Cloudy, lower 60's, calm.
i wish.
it is supposed to be in the 90s again today.
-
Mid 90's with sunshine. All week.
