How to make an Epi (Dutchman's Pipe) Bloom
« on: Oct 07, 2010, 10:29:04 AM »
My Epi is now about 5 ft long.  and it is two and a half years old.  They are suppose to start blooming when they are three.  Does anyone know exactly what I should do to promote the blooming?

It's not a dutchman's pipe.  That's a different plant.  Sorry for the confusion.

It's a Epiphyllum I'm not exactly sure about the specimen.

I found out they don't like artificial lights at night so I've moved it.  And I've also found out that I can prune them so I've taken several cuttings.  And I found out that I need to fertilize it every month from spring to fall.  So that's the plant for the comming growing season.
