EEK-Red Dye Stain on Vintage Doll Dresses
« on: Oct 10, 2014, 10:14:47 AM »
I bought 2 Doll dresses that have faux red roses on them and the dye from the roses has run onto the dresses.  One appears to be a cotton but the other has a satin like finish.  Do you have any suggestions for me?   :SmileyQmarks:

I think my first idea to try would be some hydrogen peroxide dabbed onto the spot after removing the offending roses. If it comes off on your white cloth or paper towel (used for dabbing) then try a little more. Beyond that I am lost.

I spray Greased Lightening on everything.  It has never made colors run or left any type of spots for me.  I love it.

What a cool idea I'll give that a go.
