I know how to do both but these are very helpful for learning new stitches, learning for a beginner, or finding out 'what the heck is this stitchcalled anyway!'

I was looking at the tunishian crochet there. I 'get' the stitch now. But I don't get how to start it yet. Chain however long, then ?? what, sc a row dc a row. I cant find the beginning.

I just downloaded the instructions for the Creamsicle Scarf and it says to start with a chain of 16.  Then you insert the hook in the 2nd chain and pull up a loop all the way to the end, then work it back.

Looks pretty easy and even I can understand the instructions.  Gonna try it for my next scarf and see how it works out.

I figured it out... it is a cool stitch but I really need to get the right hook for it to make something cuz I can see me losing stitches off the end of the hook if I go much wider than this.

It comes out thicker than a typical crochet with that great pattern on the front.
