I think that rain is headed my way after you Christy.
I'm glad the tornadoes missed our friends in KS and OK (is it OK for Oaklahoma??)

We had lots of rain yesterday  :Yahoo: and storms last night.  :scaredy: We're getting lots of wind today but the sun is shining and it's very nice outside.   I hope the rain helps soften up the ground so I can work in it.  :Whis:

Rainy and windy here, we are in a wind advisory but it was downgraded from last night.  I am still all prepared for a power outage in case it happens though.

We are all under the same stars, therefore we are never far apart.

We were supposed to get some rain today and more tomorrow but they missed it for us today.  No rain so far and it was a beautiful day.  Just a few thunderheads in a perfect blue sky.  Forecast at 7:00 said we were in for some  :rain3: tomorrow with  :lightn: in the afternoon and evening.  Supposed to be breezy too.

We need the rain as SC is about 17 inches below normal this year.

I hope you get some then, but no damage, there was enough damage today with tornadoes on the East.

We are all under the same stars, therefore we are never far apart.

High winds here all day, but no power outages, & we didn't get any rain until this evening. Yesterday when I worked in the yard, it was chilly (60°) so when I saw the winds whipping the trees this morning, I figured it was colder out there today, but didn't even think to look at the themometer. :dummy: Just looking at it made me chilly, so I fired up the wood stove (which came in handy, cuz I decided to attack the mountain of junk mail on my desk) & it was toasty-roasty in here! :grinnnn: Later on, when I went outside to drive to the store (all bundled up), it was BALMY outside (like in the high 60's)! :rolleyes1:

While I was gone to the store, the wind blew the hot tub cover open & slammed it down on the ear of the bunny (the one that sits there with the "don't sit here" sign), & it poked a hole in the Styrofoam insulation inside the cover, & also broke the tongue on my little pink wagon that my Pitcher plant usually sits in. (Good thing I brought the plant inside, when it got blown off the hot tub last night... I'd be pretty unhappy if all the pitchers had gotten busted off!)

The forecast for Northern California is calling for clear, sunny skies this weekend, so we don't expect to see any snow on the pass when our drive down there on our annual pilgrimage to watch Sunday's Raider game... from the 50-yard line! :Yahoo:

BTW, the bunny wasn't damaged.

We had nice but very windy day until late this afternoon, then we go more rain :Yahoo: and some storms.  They issued some tornado warnings and watchs, but nothing for our immediate area.  It's great to get the benefit of the rain without worrying about having any severe storms.   :Whis:

Hey, Christy, where do you live?  It reached 67 today, but it's supposed to get down to 45 tonight!  :SmileyFit: Well, I guess fall is really here even if our leaves haven't started turning yet.  :dunno:

We didn't get anything today.  No rain and just a slight breeze.  It was cloudy all day but we didn't get any moisture.  My rain gauge had .04 this morning so we got some sprinkles last night I guess.  Not gonna make up the 17 inches that way.  Calling for some rain on Mon-Tue-Wed now but that is too far away to even think about with the record they have for this last one.

Well, it's 75 outside right now, but it feels a little cooler since we have some pretty gusty winds here today.  :Whis:  It's supposed to get up to 80 degress and then get down to 56 tonight.  They are talking about some more rain starting on Monday.   :Yahoo:

100 mile an hour wind gusts today, 80 sustained . It is warm down in the valley when the Santa Ana winds happen. But I live in a mountain pass so the wind shrieks through and its cold.

The winds are horrible in your area Tina.. stay safe and away from falling trees.

For us it is raining here and there, sunny and cloudy.  Cannot seem to make up its mind.

It reached 85 degrees here today, but it was very windy.  Of course, nothing like you are having Tina!  It was impossible to rake any leaves today, but I was able to blow a lot of them from between the garden shed and fence.  We may get some showers by tomorrow and that would be great. ;)

Well, it was 85 yesterday, but today it's already down to 59 degrees. :Whis: Evidently, my little lunch break put an end to my yard work because now it's raining, but I'm really not complaining.  :smileyNo: Geesh, we need all the rain we can get since the ground is still rock solid a few inches down.   :SmileyFit:

It's COLD!!!  It's 45 outside right now, but it feels colder than that to me.  They are predicting a low of 38 by Saturday.  It feels like Fall has finally arrived and winter can't be very far behind.  :SmileyFit:  Geesh, this is what it was like last year and then we got hit with the BIG ice storm at the end of November.  :yikes:

We are currently at 77* and a bit sunny, but clouds are out there and we are supposed to get some rain today through Sunday!! :Glee: :Yahoo: I am so glad. We have a well and are about 21 inches down for the year on rain. Can't be letting the well get low!!

Patti- I hope you don't get another ice storm like last year- I know you were without power for a good bit....Hope it is just a "normal" winter for ya this year!! :kissies:

IT'S RAINING!!!  We are having a perfect soaking rain.  It has broken the muggy heat we've been experiencing for a few days and am I ever glad.  I normally don't like grey days down here in Virginia but today I don't mind at all.  We really needed it.
