Overwintering veggies
« on: Nov 17, 2007, 07:44:50 AM »
Hi All,

I got outside yesterday and choose the banana pepper I'm going to overwinter.  I've never done this before so I've got my fingers crossed.

Is there anything special I should be doing for it?  It's in the kitchen east facing window.  I don't have a south facing window.  Is that going to be enough light or should I put it under a CFS bulb?  And if so for how long each day?

Hi Duh I was just having this conversation with Phil the other day.. He said you need lots and lots of light and that they do better with a cutting.
I would put some extra light out for it

Thanks for the information.  I'll rig something up.  How do you do a cutting on a pepper plant?  I've done tomatoes but never peppers.
