A few of my Animals that share my life
« on: Mar 12, 2007, 09:36:45 PM »
:o This will take awhile as I splice my cable by hand did not have a crimper and the connectors it is safe I have done this many times in the past when we had to have two way radio transmissions. Cable company will be out Friday to replace it.
This is me and my angel I spent the best 30 years of my life with and our disposable dogs at the time . The urn is Tiger her pup that had just died.

Here is Tiger on our porch in Odessa Tx.

not sure of photo rules but will keep them short for the dialups.

That is a beautiful picture of you and Billie and your fur-babies, Jimmy!

Was Tiger a cock-a-poo?

Buckie Billie's Min Pin he went blind after her death laid on her pillow and cried every night till he died . He knew every inch of the house and yard and ran everywhere needless to say nothing was moved as long as he was alive. All our animals have been Cremated as well as Billie they are on top of her hutch when I die I will be cremated and our ashes will be thrown out over Mount
Evans in colorado

Ginger our Golden cocker she followed me every where would walk beside the mower till she no longer could then she would move where she could always keep an eye on me she died at 18 year.

Oh Jimmy, what precious pics (and memories) you have! I'd already seen a couple of these that you posted. but not all of them... (I know that they're all in your PhotoBucket, but every time I bring PB up, my puter starts bogging down & eventually freezes up on me! So thanks for posting the pics, rather than the links.)

I especially love, love, love that pic of Ginger, & am looking forward to seeing more of your critters here! Keep 'em coming!

Thanx too, for holding down the number of pics per post, to make it easier on us poor dial-up people!

Bulldog and Barney both lived to be about 18 years old. Barney was a Canadian dog that was abandoned after they had a baby, Ex DIL brought him to us. Bulldog just came up one night about midnight. He was starved you could count his ribs. He had been beaten and all his hair shaved off. We took him to the vet took over $200.00 to get him looking like a dog again. Bulldog was one of the best dogs I have ever seen. Barney was mister attitude but don't mess with his mama(Billie) or one of the kids he would tear you up fast.

Mimi was brought to us several years ago by a friend of one of our granddaughters. she was crying and said her daddy had hanged the mate and killed her pups she ask us to take Mimi she is still with me and very devoted. I never did find that old man.

Spotted Dog (has two spots I didn't name him) was abandoned next door time after time. We would feed him over the fence one day as I was walking away from feeding him I hear what sounded like the fence being hit. I looked back and he was perched on the fence rail all four feet on the rail I said come on boy and he never went back,. I found out that he had wandered up several years back and the people said before they mover they had him 15 years and said he was grown then I have had him 5 years so he is getting up there in years. Last year when I had heart problems I was working in the yard was about 120 that day I fel weak so I came up on the porch and sat down. He came up and put his head on my chest over my heart and and frowned very deeply when I would try to get up he would push me back later that day a granddaughter came by and called the ambulance. spot worries about me all the time he will cry if I prick myself until I wash it and put on a band aide. I don't know what I would do without him he lputs his head and back under my hand when I go down the steps or back up he does his best to take care of me.

Hunter and Mimi. Got hunter when a man ask me to take care of him and his Parrot (Trent) for awhile. Never heard from him again has been close to two years now. Hunter was matted and starved someone has done a real number on him. If I am home I have to be holding him or he will sit and cry and say I da baby I da baby. I want out etc. diane has heard him talk over the voice chat.
Hunter is the one that was stolen about a year ago.

This is Allie Cat my latest one of my grandsons gave her to me. She is a registered JRT. No story here just a bouncey little dog that loves me and wants to be the only dog. She runbs up and down the fence barking at a neighbors dog all day long she never runs down.

This is Tiki another grandsons dog this is the one that tore up all my plants a year ago last Christmas she now lives on a ranch in West Texas.

Thank God for people like you, Jimmy! I can't understand how people can neglect or abuse animals, but they're out there... & that's why He needs compassionate people who will love away the horrible misery that so many SICK people leave behind.

Mimi sure doesn't look like she's 18 years old! Sure is a good thing that little critters STAY little, isn't it?! (If they grew like kids do, you'd need a house the size of the Super Dome!)

I'm waiting for you to put up a pick of my favorite lil' Yorkie (Hunter).

Here are my two Sugar Gliders. No they are not kin to flying Squirrels nearest relative they have here is the Possum. Babies are born and raised till weaning in the pouch just like a Kangaroo, They can sail the length of a foot ball field. Clyde was brought to me because they couldn't do anything with him. He loves to pester the birds and see the Iguana's he rides on my shoulder a lot at night.

Laci is very shy the woman the use to have her let her cat swing her paws at her and would let her out and let the dog chase her  >:(  so she is very shy I just tell her all the time I love her . I can handle her but she doesn't like it so I only handle her to care for her.

Patty you would be surprized the skills my babbies have. :D

Wolfman and Trent  playing Bird on the mountain.

Gertrude and Heathcliff. Were shut in closet and had shoes thrown at them and was screamed at. I got them right after Wolfman .
Heathcliff died around a month ago was told they were at least 15 years old.

Trent came with Hunter you already know the story. Took 2 hours with a high pressuer nozzle to clean out the bottom of his cage. After I got it clean and bleached his bowls (you wouldn't beleive what they looked like). I gave him food and water . I thought he would never stop drinking then when he ate he put his head in the bowl and didn't look up for so long I thought something was wrong. He is spoiled will "allow " me to handle him if I am real good. Cindy fixed the background on this photo.

Gertrude since Heathcliff died. Lonely little bird but the other always try to cheer her up I think thant is probably why she is still alive.

The Parakeets were abandoned on a sidewalk in front of a friends house. They are now with a bird breeder that had room for them I will get a baby Yellow Cocketiel when it hatches and is ready to leave the nest.

Thats about it for now. Have photo's of others we had over the years but not for here right now. Hope you all enjoyed them.

Wow, Jimmy! I had forgotten you had all of those critters. At least now Jim knows why you are called the Critter Keeper!

I am so glad Gertrude is still alive. I was afraid to ask about her because I didn't want to bring you down if she had passed and you hadn't been able to talk about it yet. I think she is hanging around because she knows exactly how much you love her...

I think the Sugar Gliders are just so adorable. I wish I had one. I don't know if Angel would like sharing me with one, though.

As for the iguanas, I like them right there with you. ;D Fun to look at for me, but I would be scared to handle them.

I am a dog person and my special pick are JRTs. Allie is so cute. She looks like she is full of mischief waiting to happen. You are right about them never winding down. They will bounce off the walls at the drop of a hat.

Thank you for posting pics of your babies. I will be looking forward to seeing any more that you pick up along the way. God knew what He was doing when He put those critters within your reach...

Wow, Jimmy, you do have a gaggle of critters!  That's more than a houseful.  I know you have and continue to enjoy having them around.  I also know how hard it is when you lose one.  I had a little poodle/chihuahua mix that was a member of my family for over 15 years that was suddenly taken away by an uncontrolled Rottweiler while I was stationed in Germany.

I love the birds.  I've never had a bird and don't especially want one but they are so pretty.  I enjoy watching the birds here on our land.  It helps that there is a wildlife area just across the road.

Thanks for sharing your family with us.

Gosh, Jimmy. You could start a zoo. I know all of your animals are special to you, but I think the first dog, Spot, is one really special pup.

I enjoy looking at your pets. How many do you have? Keep um comin'.

Thanks everyone for your kind words about my babies. Bonnie that is all I have right now. If I dug out all that has crossed the Rainbow Bridge it would take a day or two just to scan them and then post them.
