Beef Substitutions
« on: Apr 15, 2008, 10:45:19 AM »
Maybe I'm not the only one who has this problem.

I bought a beef bottom round roast mainly 'cause it was on the expires-tomorrow shelf and only cost $3 for just under 3 lbs of nice looking meat.

Can I use it for my favorite BBQ Beef recipe that calls for brisket?  It is a slow cooker recipe, so I know that the meat won't be tough by the time it's done cooking...

It should work just fine Sarah.  I use whatever cut I have when I slow cook the beef and it all seems to work out for me.

We are all under the same stars, therefore we are never far apart.

I've found with the slow cooker all my meat turned out tender!  :yesssss:   Good buy you got there.
