I think we will take abreak until the first of the year. Between my leg giving me trouble and the holidays, I have more than enough on my baking list, and I'm sure others feel the same way.

Sounds good to me.  I still have not tried a couple of the recipes and need to get on that.  Though I am sure I will work on them over the Christmas break cuz the kids love that kind of thing.

Alright...I'm about to start up again. Any suggestions for the next recipe? I'll be baking on Monday, the 5th.

It's almost bread baking season again.  :banana02:  I have a whole stack of recipes I want to try...

Are there any you'd like to add? Any type or technique you'd like to focus on?

I would love to bake bread with you.  I don't have any suggestions but would like to make different kinds.  Can't wait to see what recipes you post!

Have you tried any of the 8 here? Some of my very favorites are in that list...

No I have not.  I will start on those once it cools off.  It is supposed to be cooler this weekend so maybe I will make one then.

Browsing the recipes to the one I wanted for tonight.  The one I was thinking is the No knead recipe #1 but it is the overnight one so that is out for today but I am still making it to have for tomorrow.  I am going to make recipe #3, the garlic Parmesan one only with Asiago cheese.

Do you have a good rye bread recipe?  Something dark, slightly sweet.  Some restaurants have really, really good rye bread but I have yet to find a good one in a store or make one.

I looked at the garlic parmesan one the other day because I wanted to bake some bread but then I saw the dry milk. That is not something I keep on hand so I have to remember to pick some up the next time I am at the store.

No, I had a bread machine but did not like it so I gave it away.  I do use my kitchenaid to mix my dough.  Without that, I would not bake near as much as I do.

Triss, try recipe #4, simple pumpernickel. It ends up close to the bread from Outback steakhouse.

Sheri, I have used a bread maker, but rarely drag it out anymore. I'm home most the day anyway, so watching for the bread to rise then baking it is no longer a problem for me. I know my Dad has a few favorite recipes that he makes in his...I can get them if you'd like. :)

Jessica, you can skip the dry milk in that recipe, and sub milk for the water, or skip it altogether. I doubt it would be missed.
