Onions
« on: Sep 23, 2008, 11:00:53 AM »
Well I planted some white onions and one purple onion.  I'm not sure where that little thing came from but I'll definitely plant it.  I like red onions.  It's clay currently on the future veggie bed sight with some grass and weeds in it plus the rocks that I've been digging out for awhile now.  But I didn't want these to go to waste so I dug holes wider and deeper than necessary and then put the amended soil in the bottom and back filled with it also.  I hope that gives them enough soft dirt to work with.  it was the best I could do.

Sounds like a good plan.  I hope they work out for you.

Thanks Triss, I've got my fingers crossed.  When I get paid I'm going to get more potting soil and do the same thing for the egyptian walking onions that I started in a pot a month ago.
