To be honest, I'm kinda embarrassed to even be starting this as a discussion

Don't be embarrassed, this is exactly the right spot to have this sort of discussion.  We have other members with similar abilities that you can see if you read through some of the topics here as well as in the Ghost Stories section.

Are these visions coming as dreams?

[Tami]

The visions are not coming while I'm asleep , as in a dream. If I have one its usually while in meditation or after. I have been fully awake for some of them. These are the ones that its like someone has tapped into my mind, and I can see through their eyes for a few seconds. Nothing major.

I have read of people having visions while meditating, Tami. I wouldn't consider it a mental disability. I think that is the purpose of meditating...

I would not at all classify visions as a mental disability... I think it is a gift, though perhaps a frustrating one right now.  The only thing I would be worried about if it is not visions is your eyes, with the bright lights, there could be a problem there.  If the eyes check out then perhaps trying to get a clearer pic of the vision by concentrating on it?  I dunno.

I used to be in a meditation group, but got away from it. It is perfectly normal to have visions and you will probably find that the deeper you get into it the more the visions will occur.

Yes, I like the thought that it could be coming from the meditation. I have only been try to get into meditation for a few months, wasn't aware that it is normal to have visions as a result. I am leery of trying to find groups to join at the moment. My one and only encounter, was looking to join a psychic development class that turned out to be far from its name.

Hey Tami, you have very detailed dreams.........makes me wonder if perhaps you were a victim of an alien abduction, just a thought I know nothing about the subject.   Also I have a theory as to why now in your life you are having these visions: As a member of the 40 plus club I know that I am not the same as I was when I was 20, physically, mentally etc......as we age things change perhaps now something in your brains chemical makeup has triggered this dormant ability in you.  Just a thought.

I wonder if people really have been abducted. they could have done is let me remember what it looks like out in . I don't shoot down any theories any more. At my age of the 40+ club, I believe anything is possible. I don't feel as if I might have had this happen, but who knows. I had never believed in ghost either, and here I am at a forum for the hunters............

well people, I am going to tell you about my latest adventure. To start, I am one of the types who likes to try things, nothing bad or would do any harm, except to my ego, just to say I've tried this or that.  A few weeks ago I signed up to take a dowsing rod class. I'm still at a loss as to weather a spirit or myself is causing them to answer. But, anyway I called the lady back and told her I needed to trade mine in on a new pair, she wants to know why, my answer is the set I got seems to be dyslexic, all the answers are backwards. She just laughs and says no refunds. So, I take this to mean its the operator.........On to the next story. This past week I was introduced to the art of hypnosis. Oh goodie, I thought... The guy who does this tells me he will do a session for free if I agree to let him do a past life regression.....well ok, sounds harmless enough, I have no idea what this is anyway. So, I go....I take my roommate with me just in case.....She is one of these people that doesn't believe in any of this. I'm still wondering if it worked, I don't remember 30 minutes passing, but I trust my roommate that says I was under hypnosis. Now to make matters worst, she keeps looking at me funny while having a little chuckle, but says I didn't say anything out of the ordinary. Yea right.....
But on the bright side, I did find out I haven't been reincarnated. Good thing to, theres already to many personalities in this one body to have to deal with a earth bound spirit moving in and out taking up space. My next adventure is in the next couple of weeks, I'm going to take a meditation class from a buddist monk, a female at that and at 9:00 am. I haven't seen 9 am in 20 years.

All of that sounds like a blast.  I love that you are so willing to do so many different things and approach it all with an open mind.  I would have taped the hypnosis session though for my own peace of mind.

Honestly, I didn't think the hypnosis would work. I love that I was wrong if only I could remember what I was wrong about. I found these places doing research to find a psychic developer.  I have actually got to talk with the psychic Gale St. John, who has a set of tapes out now that I'm going to get. Her focus is more on the remote viewing. There is no developers that live around me that I can find. I'm still unsure what is going on in my noggin with the visions and maybe worth persuing. I love the thought that I could have a gift from God, just unsure how to develope and use it.

Bonnie, yes, thanks. I have already done some of the on-line test. There is one through Dale Sellers, very good  to practice on. There is even schools just like universities that people can attend. I would love to be able to attend one.

My update, had to cancel with the monk. Was anyone aware that they don't believe in a christian God? Scared of that with all things going on in the world today. So, I opted for a spiritual healer, whom I'm suppose to meet with on Sunday. The visions and weird feelings have stopped now. I guess it was temporary  Thank goodness for the insanity defense. It's funny now, wasn't then. I was just trying to do a good deed.

Tami, I just read your post and doctors are trained to be mainstreamed.  They don't know anything about visions or premonitions.  They know what medicine can fix.

Pyramids mean something but I can't remember what.  I took a dream course and she talked about pyramids a lot but for the life of me I can't remember exactly what.  Look it up on the internet and I will too and maybe we'll uncover what this dream is trying to tell you.

Dreaming of pyramids could mean you're remembering past life memories.  Also may depict a firm foundation, stability, wisdom.

Thanks bestofour, i found a few sights of dreams, nothing on this subject. Am I developing wisdom and such, is that what it means? I am starting to get on up in years. I told my son yesterday, I may be slow, but I'm getting a turbo installed on my hoover round chair to speed things up just a bit. All jokes aside, I have been at a loss as to what was going on.
