If these parsley seeds don't come up, don't loose hope. I have fresh seed that will go in your seed trade package, along with some other herb seed.  :grinnnn:

Thankyou barleychown.  I do like parsley.  I didn't know it was a biennial that didn't produce seed until the second year.  But now I do and I'll do better abour keeping it around until I can harvest seeds from it rather than always having to get new.

some of the parsley came up and the sprouts now how their first set of true leaves.  They are to small to transplant yet but they are working on it.  I'm of course excited.

The basil doesn't have it's set of true leaves yet but it's getting there.  I'm excited about both of them comming up.

I'm sharing with Sister Elliot and who ever else shows an interest.

I just added greek thyme and dill to my garden.  The dill is in a very large pot.  I hope it does well there.

some of the french tarragon actually survived the winter.  I'm amazed by that, happy too.  The thyme also survived and the sage.  I have something else planted but for the life of me I've forgotten what it was and of course something ate the tag.  Something always eats the tags.  I also have one clump of flat parsley and one much smaller clump of the curley parsley.  Do I dare forget to mention the chives?

I can't find parsley around here anywhere.  Wonder why.

I grow all sorts of herbs but I rarely use any except the parsley, which I can't find.

I absolutely love the cinnamon basil but I think I'm out of the seeds.  I'll have to see if I can buy some.  It is great on pork or chicken.  I just crumble it up real small and add it to the flour.  Sweet Basil of course goes in the Italian Seasoning.  I dry both kinds and try and keep them.  they only last about a year not like the commercial stuff.

I plant basil with my tomatoes and dill with the squash and cukes.

Sarah, if you can find a pack of parsley I'll pay for it.  I was hoping mine would return, it usually does, but it hasn't so far.

I have some packets of parsley.  I have the curled, the Dark Green Italian and the Giant Italian.  There aren't a great number of seeds in any one packet but it's enough to get you started.

I would like to start some herbs.  I bought some seeds but I don't remember which.  I will have to look.  I should get them started I guess.

I like cilantro in things, but I can't stand the smell of it when I am cutting it up.  I don't know what it is but I don't like it.

some lady at a store tried to convince Johnny that cilantro and parsley are the same thing.  Thankfully he called me before buying.

Jessica. I am not fond of cilantro smell or taste either. And why I don't like so many of the 'home made' commercial salsas around here.

Tina, I have used it in things and I don't mind it once it is cooked in there but I can't take the smell of it.  I ate at Chipotle once and liked it.  The next time I went back I just got a bowl meal instead of the burrito.  I couldn't eat it. I had to throw it out.  I told James that it tasted like cleaning products.  I think it was the cilantro.  Yuck!

When I worked in the produce/floral department of the grocery store a few years back, I couldn't handle the cilantro. The produce manager would have to wash it and band it because I would sneeze my head off every time I got around it...:)

I do like cilantro in my salsa if it isn't overwhelming, though... :licklips:

Pots are great for most herbs.  I can't because of shadow.  He knocks everything over.  Always trying to love up against it.  He's a real romeo.

I hope they grow for you.  They are not real fresh.
