My sister saw this plant somewhere and took a pic of it. I have no idea what it is.

It does look like a begonia but it is hard to tell from that context. How big is the plant? How large are the leaves? Stuff like that.

My sister did some research of her own and found out that it is a Chicken Gizzard Plant. What a beautiful name for a plant.

I was going to suggest Iresine but I had never seen it that color. I had a lovely pink one out in a planter last year...

Yes all of mine are the red variety and have pointed leaf tips instead of the rounded ends. I didn't even recognize that picture as irisine, blood leaf.

I think I prefer the name irisine than chicken gizzard.
