Bread baking club ~ recipe #7
« on: Mar 09, 2009, 06:35:24 PM »
This one looks like a good bread to go with soup, stew, or even corned beef and cabbage!

And, for those like me who don't want to buy rice flour, you can try this:

That looks good.  I have no idea when I am going to have time to make anything in the near future though.

That's okay, Triss...the recipe will be there when you get a chance. Come summer, I'll be so swamped I don't know when I'll get a chance to bake. That is, unless Mike builds the adobe oven like we are talking about! :grinnnn:

That is ok Sarah, in the summer I will bake.  Funny how it works that way.

Sarah, I saw this great recipe for Pressed Salami Sandwiches.  Would your bread work good for the recipe??

Thanks for the input!  As I was getting everything ready to go (I figured I could make the starter now and then bake it tonight) I realized that it calls for chopped croissants.  How weird is that!!  I'm going to have to wait to try it 'cause I don't have that or the rice flour on hand.   :Crybaby2:  I got sunburned really, really, really bad on Sunday and I still can't put a shirt on - so I can't go pick up ingredients.  I found a rustic italian bread which I have items for, so I'll use that one -- but I'll be thinking about that crackle bread the whole time!
